Hooli

Aye cheers, it's running again currently as it split right at the end so I just shortened it. It's just the pipes don't feel right anymore so I expect them to split again, so they need replacing before any long trips next year.

I've found Halfrauds do 3.22mm hose for just under £6 a metre. Just wish I still had a proper parts place with such things on a roll  around here. I'm going to try ECP etc when I get chance, probably not today as waiting for a washing machine repair man. Oh & fitting new indicators as after 12 years of people saying they are dull & they can't see them I've splashed out £6 on replacement chinky crap so I can retire the chinky crap that's on there.

Hooli

Hmm and that went well...

The new chinky crap doesn't work without a perm 12v, which indicators never have. One of the old ones has fallen apart as I took it off so I can't refit it and I've dropped a rubber washer (should fit like a gromit but broke ages ago) off a side panel down by the swingarm pivot & the bike has eaten it.

It's a shame I can't see a way to cut down the stem on the original indicators so they'd fit inside the pannier racks or they'd go back on. I refuse to fit them where Givi suggest as it looks utterly stupid.

Still at least the bloke is here fixing the washer.

Snapey

I stripped the Katana engine so I can do a proper repair on the crankshaft.
If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.

Hooli

I woke up with a hangover, I think I had too much beer last night. Only been home an hour as I wasn't fit to drive earlier.

Kiwifruit

Done nearly 1600 kms on the bike this week. Wanganui for the races. Now just got home from Ruakaka with the bride visiting a couple l have known since school.
Talk about traffic jams and some of the driving we have witnessed is unbelievable,
Very enjoyable, but my backside aches. Had a few more stops than normal today. So looking forward to an early night.

Which do you think is our bike Irish. Don"t get it wrong or the boss will kill you   :whistling:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Sweaty

Came across these today on the way home. Thought some of you might like them & know what models they are.

Hooli

I went for a rideout again, I'm enjoying this being signed off sick lark.

I'm putting an early entry in for daftest bike 'crash' of the year too. Whilst doing about 60mph and lining up for an overtake a stick fell out of a tree I was riding under. Only a small one at about 1/2" thick & 3" long, but at that speed it makes ya choke when it hits you in the throat...

Pic is about 45mins later when I got to Seaways Cafe. Plus a useful service I think more ladies should make use of...

Doubt it, he'd scare the staff as he's stood at the counter ordering.

Sweaty

Lucky you have that grey/orange furry thing hanging of your face Hooli, I think it slowed the stick down before impact  :whistling:

KiwiCol

Grey, orange furry thing?  Haggis  entrails most likely.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Auckland Viaduct Basin.
Just noticed we are sitting overlooking Steinlager 2, the late Sir Peter Blakes ketch that won line honours and all 6 legs of the 89/90 Whitbread Round the World race and line honours in the 1989 Fastnet Classic. Now used as a youth training vessel.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎
