The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Reminds me of the eighties, everyone was painting their frame red then.

Booked a place with a mate of mine to the North West 200 next year. Looking forward to the trip and the race, never been to Ireland before. Has anyone on here been? :riding:

Stuck here now. You are lucky going to NW200, may not be a UGP and a couple other events next year from what I hear.

Ireland is great to visit, not the fastest roads but a beautiful place.

Never been when a race is on, but I suspect it's a great atmosphere.

Did Ireland June '13 - circumnavigated the Island - some pretty lumpy roads - all in all enjoyed it very much - did Waterford, Jameson all the usual haunts - good atmosphere in the pubs! I'd go back but got rid of all my Euros!!!!!
I need to go somewhere I've not been but won't know until I get there!

But it may not be on next year.

There are plenty of fast roads in Ireland if you know where they are, then it depends on how fast you want to go, and the other problem these day's is how fast are you allowed to go.
I'm will show anyone the road's and you can lead the way at your own pace.

I got the red bits together today & started assembling the Bandit. A task that would be a lot easier if I itemised what bolt goes with what part.
If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.

I was mainly thinking of the road surfaces, I have a tendency to hunt out tiny single track roads when exploring so probably missed a lot of the faster ones anyway. I mean this 'road' is about 4miles long to a view point on the west coast & this pic is where my bike clocked up a mere 45k miles on the clock in 2009. Which means I've slacked too much & didn't manage 100k in 10 years.

The Healey Pass is a fantastic ride though.

The Whitworth bolts are generally rusty and a bit courser.
Hope that saves you some time Pete  :onya:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Wiring in a new ignition system for next season.

I changed the rear tyre on my Speed triple for another Diablo.  Over the next few weeks bikes going to get a full service and clean ready for next year.
