Very good idea Tony, lifting bikes up from above. Today was mowing, weed sprayed lawn, mould sprayed rear deck.A nice blast up the range and back.So much traffic here now, road surface not what it used to be.Such a pity.Bike behaved well so got a bath when home.

Yes.  I raise the bikes up to the same height on my hydraulic benches and move them across onto the mobile stands. Put the mobile stand under the mezzanine, lift the bike and then fit the paddock stands.

I only do it on long term projects, bikes I'm storing, or stuff that'll be there a while. I wouldn't bother on bikes in use... except.... I do like to do some jobs under the mezzanine with it taking the weight though as I can pull out both wheels, or a swingarm, or front end, knowing that there's zero chance of it coming crashing down.

Next bike I buy, it, or one of the project will be going up on the mezzanine. That's already planned out, it's why the mezzanine stops a little short of the major cross beam in the roof...  ;)

If it doesn't break down on the way from the bar to the fire pit
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

hard road

ive owned well over 60 bikes in my life and 6 of them where Harleys, I know they are the butt of many jokes but I only had one breakdown with a flat battery as the reg/rec failed. yeah they are over priced but they are not bad bikes, you can pay more for a Ducati or a KTM and they aren't the most reliable bikes on the market  :undecided:

Be careful your shed is a very light weight structure that's why I put in a 250 and 500kg electric hoists both floor bearing.
