Cleaned, Fettled, and rectified some slight corrosion on the metal oil cooler pipes, ready for the MOT on Thursday.
Then when I get home from there, I will do an oil and filter change.

Quote from: Teufel on Sunday, 05 April  2026, 03:20 PMThanks. Have you seen these? I don't they're any real improvement on the coerce, but they're quite sexy.

I just got lucky. I saw mine on Gumtree for $45. I didn't believe they would fit, but thought it was worth the risk that price. Lucky me.
They are from Team Mettisse (https://www.metisse.de/)
I have a set of coerce, but these are a an improvement if you like the more aggressive seating position.
Finally, do you live in Valence?
I imagine it would be great riding with alps and the South coast not so far away.
I would love a slightly more "agressive seating position" (read: footpegs a bit higher and further back), especially now I am having clip-ons...
By the way, If you don't know what to do with your Coerce spare rearsets, I can help you there as I'm looking for a spare set, just in case :-)

Yes I live in Valence, with plenty of nice mountain roads all around  :smitten:  I take it you know the place or at least the surroundings?

I gave Snotbox it's annual wash today, it's still manky but no longer deep enough in crud to grow spuds in. That should stop it rotting to pieces over the summer before it gets much use again.

Give it another one and you might be able to see what colour it is... :coffeescreen:  :stir:  :whistling:

A weird off grey and black, there's no real colours involved.

Paid 12 months rego. Got a notice in the mail that the registration was cancelled as the DOT did not receive my payment by the due date. Turns out I'd missed the renewal email and I was 28days past due.  Luckily was able to pay without having to get a RWC (MOT for our UK friends) or have to surrender plates. and then have to get re-registered again...

Been an expensive month so far: both cars, both bikes, house and caravan insured and registered plus new radiator in daughter #1's car.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

You forgot the tank of diesel in your list Eric . . .

I stripped, cleaned and refitted the front brake caliper on the tractor today as noticed it squeaking when pushed around. It seems to have done the trick after a run to my usual Thurs bike night.

I also dropped the rear pads out of the Bloo Thing and added some copper slip as that was squeaking from over washing.

I'll stick this here as a 'just in case'.

If anyone is looking for end cans currently, it's 40% off everything at Beowulf. I saw it while looking for oil cooler covers.

Good stuff as well Beowulf, I have the tri-ovals on my 14 & would highly recomend for quality, looks & sound. Goes to show though how good the profit margin is, they will still be making a profit even with the 40% discount

Did you find cooler cover Hooli? I've been thinking about a black one for a change, shiny has had a 20 yr run. Ali Express for less than $50,stainless or aluminium, might take a chance on one. It's just an experiment to see if I like it🤷🏼

Aye Just Bandits have got polished covers for £50. I'll go that way.

Removed the levers and cleaned up the pivot and checked the rubber boots for brake and clutch masters.  Even though replaced only 2 years ago, the clutch m/c boot was torn and the pin had road gunk on it. The marine grease I put in there last rebuild was still there.  Checked the bronze clutch pin pivot bush as well, its pretty badly worn so that will also need replacing.  No such issues on the brake side.  Did notice a fair bit of up and down play in both lever pivots though, not sure if those bushes in the levers are replaceable or if a whole new lever is required.  That main pivot bushing seems like a heavy press into the alloy body of the lever.  Some photos of before and after (clutch side).  I reckon the worn pin pivot is whats also affecting the clutch bite point its at least 1mm worn on the back side opposite the hole for the m/c pin.
