Nice cycle KC, I showed the missus your bike, she liked it as well, I'm working on justifying another stable mate to the Geisha Girl (K3 1402) and the Bavarian Mistress (BMW K1300GT), I reckon a British Strumpet would fit in well...
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Awesome bike Col👍Maybe a tail tidy to complete, not poking my nose in, just hate those stock brkts.

There are a few guys who do that & some look factory.  I don't mind it & it's solid as.

Tail tidys or chopping the long rear guards used to be my first mod. Even bikes like the Busa, 14 and B-King would at least get them trimmed across the bottom of the plate.

Haven't done one in a while, I think every bike I've used in the last few years has a factory guard / tail, even when I put the GSXR subframe on my Busa I used a factory GSXR guard.  Doesn't interest me now.

On a bright note, I told my Mrs what I'd like my next bike to be. I braced myself for the explosion... it never came! She just named a few things we need to tick off our list first. In reality I'll probably change my mind a dozen times, but I still think it means I'm not getting grief for the next one.

To Boonah today from Goodna, out to Yamanto, turned left there and detoured at Peak Crossing via Harrisville and Kalbar lovely and green out there. A pleasant 25 degrees with a strong southerly blowing.
Arrived at Arthur Clive's cafe and all six of us had a different choice of meal, which were all exemplary as is the coffee.
Everyone took a different route home which was unusual but not unexpected.

Overall we had many rides during 2025 and we are looking forward to many more in 2026.

Happy New Year to all you orgsters

Beautiful morning, 28 degrees C.
122k (76 miles) round trip for bacon and egg on toast.

That's probably it for this year. I normaly ride on Jan 1st but we are doing a Park Run this year that's not local so it'll probably be a few days. Must remember to write all the mileages down on 1/1/26.

"Secrets on the Lake" at Montville. A very unique and boutique accommodation place. There's quite the history to the place and the gentleman whom designed and built/carved everything there.

We met at Shell Aspley and headed up through the Glass House mountains to Woodford then Stanley River Road then the famous Mountain View Road past Mary Cairncross Park to our glorious destination.

Food, coffee and service is very good. No complaints from our group 🙏😳.

Homewards bound we travelled the Bald Knob (not in the best condition roadwise I've seen) back to Woodford then Mt. Mee, Dayboro, Samford and home through the city.

We stopped at Woodford RSL to investigate the tank outside as Shane is ex British Tank Commander. It was very interesting to have an expert talk us through these amazing machines. The Rosemary bushes are in full bloom there and the scent is overwhelming. ANZAC DAY not too far away. I will organise a ride to Redcliffe on Anzac Day.

Around 350 kms door to door and considering the cloud cover we only had a few spritzing showers all day.

Overall a great start to the New Year. 🙏🙏

140km round trip for coffee with the wife. She chose to crop me out of the photo so 50% of a 1400 is the best I can do.

I used to eat at Nash Gallery over the road, but I do like BVR. Went there on New Years Day after Park Run but the queue was out onto the street so just grabbed a coffee.
The bakery at Esk is piss poor but a couple of good cafes and being able to get there via dirt or bitumen puts it on my list.

Only 1 ride in 2026 so far but I'll up that when folk go back to work.

Haven't been to the bakery in years but it used to be good, so that's disappointing to hear. Seems to be a new/updated cafe at the Esk-Hampton Rd tee so I'll have to give that a try.

The Esk bakery has been pretty average for a while, but the staff make it even worse. Some of the reviews about the miserable manager are pretty funny.

Now Garrys in Cooyar and Tony's cafe in Hayden are both closed I've had to find a new 2nd home.
I've gone off Sonia's cafe in Goombungee, so now it's between...

# The Floating Cafe at Grantham.
# Relish at Highfields.
# Nash Gallery or Brisbane Valley Roasters at Esk.
# Blackbutt Bakery.
... or new to the list... The Linville General Store / Cafe.

I did look at the one at Moore, but there wasn't much shade and it was partly a Harley shop.

The one on the corner at Hampton is "1 Hampton Rd" it's our regular coffee stop heading into town, my wife's friends with the owner. The previous management have moved back a street and now have a similar shop next to the Real Estate, we don't go there!

I have used a cafe in Toogoolawah, the ride down suits the DRZ but the cafe wasn't great.

Linville is my current favorite, but it's 100K's from Crows Nest via Blackbutt.
