I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Mine also a bit wobbly on pivot.New levers Webike around $20, genuine copy or original about $80.Dont know bush size,do you Eric? I can pull it out again and measure if you don't.

Eric GSX1400K3

All good mate, will pop them out again and check the bush size and post it on here for reference. Have to order new boot and solid bushing, probably get 2 of each and look at those levers too. If I get bored I'll press the bushing out of the old levers and see if I can get replacements with the right inner bore to suit the mounting pin.

BTW, really like how Suzuki / Nissin did that with the threaded pins, screws into the perch then locked with a nyloc nut on the underside.

I had a measure 8x11x18 I make it. To buy one bush silly prices, I'll just order a lever. The bush on mine is fairly worn also.Bought Kijima lever, Jap copy. $30 delivered.

Cheers Grog,  didn't get around to pulling the levers out again, too much other stuff around the house.  Agree, silly money for just some brass bushes.  Anyway, so I ordered 2x new bushes, 2x new boots, an OEM Clutch and OEM Brake lever from Webike Japan, I looked at the $12 Kijima lever, looks very decent, but they did only have the clutch one in bright alloy, the brake lever only in black, and not both in black either, so for about 40bucks more, got both genuine ones.  Including freight to Perth, a grand total of 125AUD.  For reference, MickHone (Melbourne Suzuki parts supplier) charges 108AUD for the clutch lever and 149AUD excluding delivery for just the levers, then the corresponding arm and leg for the other minor bits.

Happy days, will be looking forward to fitting up the new ones and seeing the difference they will make.  I remember putting Pazzo fully adjustable std (long) levers on my Daytona 675 and it was a transformation.

Hooli

For a change today I worked on someone else's bike.

Oil & filter, wash & oil the K&N, treat a little bit of rust under the rear end hence the brown paper for catching drips, new bars and lots of cursing about bits on it I'd never touched before & her idiot ex had lied about doing or screwed up. I mean you could have grown spuds in the apparently 'cleaned last year' K&N, I've seen cleaner air filters at 50k old in my 14s. The stripped bolt just about holding a barend mirror on was good too.

Have a pic mid job.

Now I've got her old bars to fit to my Bloo Thing tomorrow, plus I picked up the polished chain guard today. I'll try & do the clock plastics too so it's as finished as it's getting. Oh & fit the rack I've got for it as we're off to Cornwall for a week on Monday so need luggage capacity.

Nope, unknown coming off. They seem close to 758 but slightly higher. 789s went on.

First job of the day today was to sort a broken clip on my mate's bagster tank cover. She took it off yesterday to polish the tank & one of the rachet clips broke putting it back. It's needed for Monday as she's always got a tankbag on when touring & there's no way you'd be able to buy the right clips at all, let alone in time.

Anyway a 2.5mm screw I found in an old toolbox from the Tamiya RC cars I had 35 years ago did the job after carefully drilling a tiny hole into the end of it. I'll refit it later when I bob over there.

I'm quite impressed the old plastic didn't crack & I got the hole accurate enough by hand.

Wish you lived by me.

Hooli

That worked, apparently she's going to paint the screw black or it'll annoy her though.

Black permanent marker is a quick fix for that Hooli.
