Yesterday looked at a 14, 2006 model. 67 th ks. Very homemade exhaust, very faded Ventura bag. Totally complete, looked pretty good. Every single part has been painted matt black.I mean everything. Price was just bargain cheap. I was close to buying but thinking what do i do with it. Ones enough i decided.

One is never enough Grog, think of the fun to be had in restoring it, or turning it into a drag bike, or a custom job...
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

I had a pootle around Yorkshire, no where interesting just Squires to meet people & muddy back roads to Seaways.

Then as we're getting longer evenings again & I'd got home about 3:30pm I gave it it's 144k (miles) oil change as it ticked over that today followed by trimming the HT leads to see if it fixes the misfire when cold & damp. No1 & No2 didn't feel as secure as the other two, so it might help.

I'll test it tomorrow as I'm off on another ride with another group.

Between that & changing the high pressure filter yesterday it should go properly again. It's quick as hell compared to last time I rode it on the old partly blocked filter already. Yes I know I could bypass it, no I can't be bothered too as a filter every 50k doesn't seem that expensive to solve things.

Just for a change today, I had a pootle around Yorkshire. But to make it more interesting I had a lass I know pillion.

180miles done, got home well after dark & it was getting a bit cool. My 14 finally has all it's power back, I know this as I was playing with a R1 this morning & got away from him as he was worried about the wet roads. All good fun  :stir:

I need to recheck the HT leads I did & balance the throttles as the damn thing is juddering really badly when wafting at about 2k rpm - exactly where I always ride in a 30 zone in 4th....bugger... I think it's because I've fixed the misfire that was there when I last balanced the throttles (misfire went away when warm but I bet a pot or two was down on power).

Pic is Squires about an hour n half before I got home.

I am still fed up with all my past moving adventures.

Worst one 20 years ago. Lots of shitty details. Ex-wifey had a nervous breakdown. I felt like having a breakdown myself.  When we were totally hammered, we heard a bunch of bikes coming to our secluded place. Oh shit, must be a bunch of hell's angels coming to give us a beating. They got into our driveway. 14 bikers in the real cold winter night. And yes, they were angels. But send from heaven. The truck was unloaded in a hurry. I only had to tell them where to put things. I never found out who they were. Still getting emotional about this.

I quite like moving house, I've had 42 different addresses but my wife has had enough so we are staying put (unless I can talk her around).

What does Lincolnshire have in common with France? Yup both are shut if you attempt to find food or drink!

Another 120miles today in the winter sun done.

I got home in time to balance the throttles to try and cure my judder at low throttle. I found a split vacuum pipe which explains it and the recent crap MPG. Guess I'd better by some pipe and replace them then, they've only lasted 18 years.

Anyone know off hand what size they are? I'm guessing about 3mm ID.

Irish in Oz

Another thing not to like about France, my job today.

3mm is what I remember. Take one or a small piece of them to an autoparts store with you to be sure. Just pennies and you don't need much. Or buy from Robinsons for 15.66 GBP

Don't forget the one to the PAIR if you haven't completely removed that.

I put cable ties on where they attach to the throttle bodies.

Hooli

Aye, it's just I'm likely to go on the bike so it's handy to know in advance & I lost the 1/4" that snapped off today which I was going to take.

Andre

@Hooli  I added a little to my above post.

You can also take from the throttle balancer and replace that later.
