Broken ribs?

We had another new Ford Territory a while back, took off of a romantic weekend away, car was 1 week old and got written off on the way.

Wife moaned a bit but I told her she'd be fine. We got a lift home and grabbed another car and continued on our weekend away.

I enjoyed our romantic (passionate) weekend away, even if the wife did moan a bit (I thought it was just her being a bit loud in the moment of pleasure).

She gave me some grief on the next Monday when the Doc told her she had cracked ribs!

30 June and raining and has been for a while! Where did summer go??
Haven't even put the GS on the road - paid for the shipping of the 1400 on Thursday - it will be here in VCR on 29 July via Montreal by train. Then maybe I'll transfer the GS plate to it, after the inspection and registration, then flick the GS and let the fun begin!!

I need to go somewhere I've not been but won't know until I get there!

36miles on a mountain bike including three punctures & having to carry the bike shoulder high for nearly a mile across a field as farmer giles seems to think growing shoulder high crops across a birdleway with no gap for anyone trying to get down it is a good idea  :jack:

Thanks Kiwi.
She's had spinal MRI scan now and will get results today. She has seen the scan and there are references on it to upper AND lower discs. She doesn't quite know enough about it, but hopefully today we'll get some proper answers. She had a few hours "Home leave" yesterday which cheered her up a bit. She's still in a hell of a lot of pain though.
Fingers crossed for some good results this morning.

Best wishes to Mrs F Steve - I hope its not her discs that have gone, I split 4 of mine in my lower back about 12 years ago, and the pain was unbelievable, so if that is what she has, I really feel for her. Lets hope its something less nasty and more readily treatable.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Whoa! nasty crash - Hope Mrs F. comes through this!

I've got a job interview in Oban. Not sure I want to move up there for the same money though as it costs a lot more to live than here.

My Mrs used to live and work I oban she says it's would be great if she had met me by then but wasn't so good living there when she was single.

She's been stuck in hospital in agony now for the last nine days

Tough time for you both Froudy!   Hope she gets some relief!   You mentioned in one of your posts that it was discs... was this the final diagnosis?  If so my heart goes out to her.. done that and bought the T shirt!!

Final diagnoses was "Nerve root compression on L5" This explained the lower back pain as a result of her fall a couple of Sundays ago. She also has similar towards the top of her spine where 9 weeks ago she turned over in her sleep and fell out of bed bashing her shoulder and back as she hit the floor.
It's not been a good few weeks for her as on top of all this it was the first anniversary of her Mum's death last Monday. At least she got some "Day release" to come home for part of her birthday yesterday..That cheered her up!

Sounds painful. I assume it's lots of ibruofen & wait for the swelling to go?
