Yesterday rode down from Scotland to hull got on a ferry tried to cool off and sleep to day got off the ferry and rode to a rally just outside of Antwerp even braved the ring road .
It's currently 36°c and the beer is cold life doesn't get much better .

Was the Newcastle boat not closer?   I tried both ferry routes and the Newcastle boat saves about 2 hours driving time....

It's much closer but when we tried to book it was going to be twice the price of the hull ferry .
So it's now cheaper to stay a few more days before coming home than just coming for the party and going straight back home again .

so you can spend more on frozen peas right?

When it's hot they put the price of ice sky high but good old frozen peas are white mans survival number 1 tip .
Tomorrow might be carrots or broad beans depending Lidl or Aldi for the best price .

Finally it's cooling down to around 26°c .
To hot for folks from Scotland all day .
But beer flowing so all's not lost .
Think we're in for a thunderstorm later which should be more exciting than a lunar eclipse between 9.30 and 11.30 tonight .
Anyway the band will be on by then.
Apparently there is a hosepipe ban here if your court using one it's 8 days in the jail.

Ahhh, that's right, he's off to a bike show or something, I do recall reading that.  70 miles off the ferry to where he's going & 270 miles to get to the ferry.

A wee break 7 night away.
4 in Europe 1 on the way to the ferry and 2 nights on the ferry .
And here's I thought I was going mad in the heat .

My fault, I hadn't read all the above posts, just the one where you said it was 26 degrees & had water restrictions.

It'll be a lack of alcohol in my system that's caused this imbalance - I'll endeavour to remedy this terrible situation tonight!!
