Camels - I've ridden them, I've watched them race, I've seen them spit on people, and urinate on people. I've seen them carried around in the back of Hiluxes like you might carry your dog.  I've even eaten the bastards. I've drunk camel's milk.  In NONE of these activities have I seen any reason to own one.

Camel's milk you ask? Yeah, it's feckin' horrible.

Is that a black powder smooth bore? I'd like to try old rifles like that.

It's a smooth-ish bore.  ;) 160 years has kinda worn out the rifling. But it's a breech loader.
Specifically a Belgian .22 Flobert Parlour rifle. And it shoots pretty much dead on pit to about 15m. 😁

If you know your firearms....

We have a H Holland shotgun with Damascus barrels. An early production version before the company became Holland and Holland in partnership with his nephew. Holland and Holland along with Purdey are the only manufacturers to hold a Royal Warrant, often referred to as the Bentley or Rolls-Royce of guns. I've used it to shoot rabbits although its rarely used now.

My poor old labrador is deaf as a post now he.ll be 12 this year but was a hell of a good gun dog in his day

I'm left handed. I write left handed and predominantly use my left.

I grew up in a family of shooters, local and West Midland champions.
I have a photo of my dad and his 4 brothers all shooting clays, 5 in a line.

Funny thing is I never saw a left handed shotgun gun until I was in my late teens, and much as I tried I couldn't change back from many years and hundreds of hours shooting right handed.  I still shoot right handed now.

I write left handed but a left handed gun feels unnatural to me.

Aye its muscle memory once you learn one way its unnatural to change i know a few left handers who all shoot right handed you just use what you.ve got and get used to it been awhile since i shot clays allways a good day out
