Today was dentist day. i have bone degradation under teeth. yeah, im old. procedure is called root scale, clean and plane. as it says, go below gum line to roots. one hour of torture. over 40 injections. come out feeling like a 100k test ride on harley over corrugated road. felt really bad for a few hours, ok now. panadol and beer help. not recommended but supposedly good in long run.

About 15 years ago, in one spot in Kent, the temp briefly reached 38 degrees C.

You blokes in QLD would get that before morning tea in the summer wouldn't you?
 Wish I could fit the 14 in the car somewhere but with 5 of us a week away the car is rammed with crap!

Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Mister Fishfinger

Well I am missing all the lovely weather in the UK because I'm in South Korea this week, where it is rainy and humid.

On the plus side though, I sat in a bar last night and watched Korea beat Germany 2-0 in the World Cup. I certainly wasn't expecting that result (and I'm not going to lie, I really enjoyed watching Germany get knocked out).

Irish in Oz

Helped a mate get ready for the Enniskillen Road Races this weekend, a couple of Classic Honda's.

Spent the last week up and down to the hospital to be with Mrs F.
She was admitted Monday and they've kept her in.
It's a crazy situation...
Long story short, she fell out of bed about 8 weeks ago now and caught her back and shoulders on bedside cabinet before landing on her back. The pain got worse over the following days along with shortness of breath..Being unable to breathe properly due to the pain. X-Rays done and MRI of upper back..Nothing showed up. Drugs and get on with it basically :furious:
Last Sunday we went out and she stumbled backwards, lost her footing and fell, landing on her arse. Within an hour, she's in renewed agony. Docs on Monday morning and they sent her straight to hospital..They've done loads of tests and more X-Rays and all come back clear. She's been waiting three days now for a full spinal MRI scan and they were talking about a Lumbar Puncture as well.
Fingers crossed that she'll get the test today and we'll get some answers..I personally think it's a cracked rib, but what do I know.

Oh, and I got the Bandit MOT'd on Wednesday and it passed. It should have too, as to my shock, I'd only done 48 miles on it since MOT time last year

The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

ARH

Froudy..that's a bummer (see what I did there?).   Got to agree with Grog...

Reading your post don't think it will be a rib.. she would have felt that immediately and its an easy spot on an xray.   Probably more likely shes damaged a disc or vertebrae resulting in pressure on nerve endings... full MRI should spot that.    Had something similar last year.. discs at L3 putting pressure on nerves in my left leg...couldn't walk for days and incredibly painful... meds were good tho  :whistling:

Hope she gets well soon!

froudy

Thanks guys..Appreciated :onya:
@ARH She's dosed up to the eyeballs on painkillers including Oramorph, so she's pretty much out of it most of the time.
Fingers crossed she'll get to have the MRI scan today. It was broken for three days so there's a huge backlog to get through
