Hi Irish in Oz,

Is this in Northern Ireland? If it's in Oz I'd like to talk to him.

It's here in N.I. unfortunately, full race version with a bit of history.

Thank you. That's unfortunate.

Just been on the phone. There's a bike for sale a couple of hours away. I'm told I need to be there mid day and bring money.  Realised the seller and I have a mutual friend, made a call, mutual friend says seller and bike are all good. 🤔.

This arvo - A car service for the Mazda3 and a new tyre due to sidewall bulge. :(

Dealer wanted $350 to fit one new tyre. Tyre place nearby is $265

I should also find a non-dealer to do services - somewhere in North Brisbane (I'm at Bracken Ridge if anyone happens to know a good place)
Ottomans: 'Hippity hoppity, Vienna's our property"
...and then the Winged Hussars arrived.

stick with the tyre place, stealer prices are crazy. 265 for a new tyre including fitting and balancing is not too bad.  Perhaps consider a full new set, will be cheaper per tyre than a single, as these places like to sell in sets of 4.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Turns out they have ONE tyre in stock today.  perfect.  But yeah I normally would do at least 2.

Yes. I was after a specific year / model / mileage so it took a while to find one I was happy with.

34,000K's, recent service, new tyres, braided lines, Carbon cans.

Yeah, no baffles in the cans, they are a bit louder but not bad and have a much deeper rumble to them.

It has new Angel GT2's which aren't what I wanted on it, but the wheels will swap with the gold ones on my B-King so it might get them, or I do have another spare pair of Gen-2 rims. They are in my 190/55 preferred size though.

Looks OK but it's not dirt cheap, getting close to a Gen-2 price.
Gen-2's eat less 2nd gears and have much better brakes as well as other improvements, 1340cc not 1299, better electrics etc etc. Even buying an early Gen-2 it's still a model that was sold up to 2020 where any Gen-1 is at least 15 years out of production.

I've had / have a few Gen-1's but I think the 2 is worth any extra it might cost.

Today:

Called my insurance and added the Busa.

Fully comp / minimum use, not a daily or regular use bike. Included everything, cans, screen (new one on order), braided lines etc.

No Dept of Transport anywhere near here so I went to the local little police station and their admin changed everything into my name for me.

They'll also change it to single seat when I get a cowl for it (Cheaper rego / annual road tax).
