Seals arrived today, yes yellow dot on one face.  From the above excellent tip, this dot faces up or to the outside if referring to the oil inside thr fork stanchion.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

New set of wheel bearings for the BMW plus outer seals.  45 aud the lot compared to 34 per bearing from BMW.

Statewide bearings here in WA.  The bearings are a 6005 2RSC deep groove ball bearing, shaft 25mm.  Seals to match are 32mm ID x 7mm.  I got NSK as I could not determine the oem brand from the bmw parts number.

They are a standard bearing, nothing unusual.

Looks like you got your money's worth from the old ones Eric.

I reckon so. I think they are the originals. Just glad I caught it, would not have been nice to have it collapse like that on the freeway. Took the bride out for lunch and really noticed  it on the way home, maybe it was the dessert cake that did it...

Good to know 🙏
I priced genuine Suzuki bearings & seals 😱😱😱 when I got up off the floor I went to bearing shop & paid for everything & it was less than one "genuine Suzuki" one 💰💰💰

The standard genuine Suzuki bearing are cheap rubbish and cost a fortune.
Replacement quality ones are much cheaper .

I sent for clutch slave cylinder seals (can I still call it a slave cylinder?🤪🤪)

Stripped mine out and the new ones don't fit.

I had the seals sent to the house in Scotland I was staying in, now home in France.

Of to main dealer tomorrow to order originals. 🤬
If you are going to run out of fuel, do it in your garage.

It's only a short walk to the kettle.

Some aftermarket ones are cheap and are rubbish too.  I went All Balls a few years ago, must pull the front wheel off and check them, have to anyway to do the fork seals. If they're bad, they are definitely rubbish as they would have done less than 4000km

I fitted all balls bearings once, never again. They were utterly shit.

As expected, the All Balls front wheel bearings have gone Balls Up.  Only about 4000km, inner race corroded, very stiff and lots of black goop coming out.  The dust seal isn't much better.   :furious:

Front end is off now anyway for new fork seals (another Balls Up)  :furious: :furious:

Update on seal replacement. Fitted new today.i was really surprised how dirty the fork oil was, seeing as I did them not that long ago.  The copper sliders are doing their job though. Insides nice and clean. Followed instructions and all back together now.

See photo of All Balls old seal on the right and Suzuki genuine on the left.  Tbh I couldn't see much difference.  New wheel bearings arrive next week, so at a standstill.  Ordered front and rear including sprocket carrier and seals from Statewide bearings, 183 aud all up including GST.  Priced it via Mick Hone, 316 aud plus freight.
