Went exploring.

Cottage was past saving, but the orange tree growing alongside was OK, I picked a couple.

My Mum 88 soon. Pretty easy to take her out, different story on phone, she only hears about every third word. I just worked out its 53 years since my first bike, she still doesnt like me having them. Some things never change.

My 'rents still tell me to be careful as bikes are dangerous. Yet last time down I had to do a front end refurb & test ride on my mum's Virago (she's 68 I think).

New deck out front, she'll be right.

Firther enquires told me they had used the planning permission to build a replacement cottage further up the valley so that one no longer has a permit. Shame. I'll keep my eye out although it's better if I buy something next year.

It's replacement.

Just went around my neighbours house, he's bought himself a Chevrolet Impala, big block V8 with hydraulic up/down ride height suspension.

An Impailer! - American sports car, low rider!

There's a few around here.

There's a nice 440-six pack (7.2ltr) Challenger that's often at the shops near my house.

Now that is nice! - WE used to take a lot of muscle cars from the States to Oz on the SS Canberra in the early 70's

I did oil & filter on my mum's 125 chinese thing & 250 Virago. Also did the fork oil on the virago & rebuilt the front brakes on both bikes. Mum said the front brake didn't work on either, now I can lock the front wheel braking smoothly at 50mph on the virago so I'd call that fixed.

Can't see why the 125 is missing like mad underload, gonna try a new plug to see if that sorts it. Currently it does 32mph in 5th, feels a 'bit' gutless but is quite comfy to ride when sat on the pillion seat.

A nice warm, sunny day, Walking into the local shops and being being given a free bottle of water by the local church,  and being given some free cookies by the local airport.

As well as the new runway Brisbane airport are adding a track / car dealership area so folk buying a new Porsche / Audi etc car try one in a bit more spirited way than in Brisbane city traffic.

But more importantly... cookies!

Suspected fractured wrist.
Doc says cast stays on for two weeks.
Last time I cut the sleeve on a bike jacket to get a cast through.
Wife has threatened me not to do that again.

Pulling green waste off my Ute at the dump and went head over heals.

Thats bad luck Tony hope for a quick recovery.
Mate get a chipper, saves going to the greenwaste.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎
