Took my lovely clean bike on a 170km round trip in the pissing rain to see my Dad. Half my ride was in daylight and the ride home was in the dark.
Hard work riding at night into lines of oncoming traffic in the rain.
Even so good to be out on the bike.  :smitten:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

I see the severn bridge tolls were closed westbound due to staff sickness - probably getting days off before they loose their jobs in september?   :bugga:

The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Thought that was ridiculous, inconvenience lots of people rather than let them go through for free, made even worse by the fact its going to be free anyway later in the year

Arrived in Phnom Penh Cambodia yesterday.  I love it, mad place!

Next to no inspection or customs at the airport, and what I've seen so far is roads are jammed with scooters, anyone doing anything official looks like a military General, everywhere looks like a building site and even the bitumen roads are more dust than bitumen. No streetlights, no footpaths, lots of brothels.

The place makes Thailand seem very tame. It's great !

Good on ya Tony, bung a couple of pics up if you get a chance, I'd love to see the place.

Will do. Lazy day today. Eat, sleep, aircon. Both been flat out at work and yesterday was a long day. Meeting up with my step daughter later and making plans to see a few things whilst we are here, the "Tomb Raider" temples, Ankor Wat, The Russian Markets, the Killing Fields, The S21 prison etc.

.... but today I'm being a lazy arse.

They are taking tolls off a road?

We had a bridge built here called the Gateway - the tolls have recouped the cost and then some - now the government has sold the tolling rights to a private operator for ANOTHER 50 years. The pricks.

They recently duplicated the bridge (so twice as much traffic capacity) and naturally both are tolled.

Tolls are all the rage here in Brisbane now.

They have made their money and are now making it free to get into Wales, it's always been free to get out. :whistling:

When our present government came to power they removed all the bridge tolls through the Lower Mainland..... AND! to my surprise!, our Nautical Institute meetings are held every two months on a BC Ferry, I paid NADA for the two way 'cruise' between Tsawassen (Vancouver) and Swartz Bay (Victoria). Zip of Seniors!! Not too shabby! :boogie:
