I tried mounting mine on topbox. Waaàyyyy too shaky!

Where do other people mount theirs?

What about forward facing?

Only just bought this (should turn up this week). Had similar with a RAM mount mounted to the handlebars on my 14 which worked very well. Have a rearward facing one on my topbox, which doesn't shake
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

On my lid for forward facing and just behind the grab rail for the rear view.

Out of interest Steve, how do you find it attached to your lid - I read a report recently about bikers getting neck strains due to the wind exerting pressure on the GoPro when mounted to skidlids. Do they affect it?

I mount it on the top rather than the side. I noticed it at first at high speed's but soon got used to it.
It doesn't "pull" much to be honest.

I deside to try chest mount. haven try it on bike yet, but on skiing I like it more, then on top of the helmet - less edgy movement when you turn your head during riding. From other side - would like to try chin mount...

Batkwaka

Mine is mounted central along the handlebars. It gives a fairly open view cradled by the gauges.
May the sun be warm & shining and your roads be smooth & winding.

Mirror mount looks like an idea.
I dont want to show speedo particularly...

I have always mounted mine on the side of my helmet as shown in the picture. It is the smoothest place I've found especially when riding the dirt or logging roads. Also, you can narrate when needed as your voice penetrated the helmet to the GoPro. I also have it remotely operated and sometimes remotely operate my buddies camera on his handlebars facing forward behind but just clear of the windscreen.

I also have a backward facing Sony Exmor R Steady Shot HDR AS15 camera on the luggage - left hand side - it is easy to operate once you get to know where the on button is but reaching back - It can also be operated remotely using the iPhone in the tank bag map holder. Got some great shots of my buddies going thro' the twisties behind me.

Every ride we do I usually end up with 20-30 GB of footage to build the ride video. It takes a concerted effort at the end of each day downloading and recharging the units and I carry multiple batteries.
I need to go somewhere I've not been but won't know until I get there!

Kiwifruit

I stuck mine on the left indicator stalk. Easy to mount and footage seems ok.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Anyone know a good (value) place to buy GoPro and RAM style mounts?

I know its an issue for you but i use Amazon for everything gopro..
As for mounting i use centre of my bars. My mount allows me to pivot the GoPro so i can either show or not show my clocks...

Not great quality but it shows the view well.

So if i do stuff all all day and noone sees me do it.. Am i still a lazy git?

Not a GoPro, but Drift. Use it as dash cam, cause it can shoot in loop, overwriting old videos.

P.S. ... lookin on a picture - it's really big :)
