Snapey, connectors are stupid. So different on lots of vehicles. Most annoying are the ones that can be plugged into wrong spot, each one is not unique. Korean cars are the worst for this problem.

Loctite, especially red, is en vogue. Had to get a 3-arm puller to get a front sprocket off as it had been "glued" on with red loctite on the shaft.

HOW TO Free stuck screws with too much Loctite on them

Here's a good tip if you have a screw that's had too much Loctite put on it, and it just refuses to budge. Heat the head of the screw with a soldering iron for a while (be careful not to melt any surrounding plastics). This will melt the Loctite, and hey presto the screw will come out much more easily!

I don't think a soldering iron would have been able to do the job as the mass of sprocket and shaft is considerable (so was the amount of loctite  ). Puller worked great and I now have a set of them in my toolbox.

You have been working hard Pete 👍
Nice work.

Even the blue Loctite on the two rear engine mounts needs heat. I used a hot air gun.

Another one for you experts. The frame mounted cable ties or the base for them that are pushed in to the frame holes. I looked through the Mick Hone site and searched every name I could think that they might be called but no joy. Are they a Suzuki part & if so a name or part No. please.

Something like these maybe; https://shoppingcart.aliexpress.com/shopcart/shopcartDetail.htm?spm=2114.10010108.0.0.e54f35deKaI58Q

I just used my hot breath on them rear engine mounts

The ties are Suzuki items.

Thanks for the cable tie info Andre. I ended up buying 50 on Ebay after seeing the prices on the links you posted.

BTW .... I won't be asking you for a blow job.

Yes, I just can't get over how quickly you operate.
Having the space and tooling certainly makes a difference.

Really impressed with your progress

1 ton, you can see the pin position on the hoist.

Snapey

I'll be weighing it in a couple of hours so the closest guess wins the prize.

Irish @ 1 ton is the winner so far. :onya:
