130K (80 mile) round trip to get a pie, a detour out through Googa Creek with some mostly pretty easy trails and a few questionable ones through the pine forests...

See, I'd like something on knobblies to try stuff like that. But around here you'd be lucky not to get it stolen as you rode up the road on it.

Mr Gee, those xr900 got some grunt. Last week coming home, one beside me, Akra exhaust, 2 into 1 road at 80 kph, stood it on back wheel for around 3 ks. I was on two but totally impressive show👍

Too hot to ride, just touched on 39c. Were been warned to expect storms/ flooding.

We already have storms and flooding but only 5 degrees.  :hat:

39C sounds like pure hell to me, I don't do crazy hot temps

39 is OK with 20% rh, but I'll bet where you are Grog thats its more like 80-90% rh, unbearable.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

It was 36 C on the drive home from breakfast yesterday.

I picked up another 7 trees as I was passing a favourite native plant nursery in another town.

Not ideal weather to be out digging holes but it cooled down a bit by the time I put them in. I wanted to get a few more in before the rain came, although we've only got 5.5mm so far.

My motivational number chasing so far for 2026 is now...
19 trees planted.
13 motorbike rides.
7 x 5K/3.1 mile Park Runs.

Ben, who I've known for many years, makes turbo kits for them. Folk question the design as they are rear mounted under the swingarm, but they actually work really well.

There's 2 around Brisbane that I know to, but there may be others. 200+hp in a naked upright bike that's not that big is REAL entertaining. We had one down on an Oxley Hwy ride a while back and I couldn't keep up.  Mad things.

This is the stretched drift one he built for Dave Mac.

There's a place called Dinky's Diner that isn't too far from where I live (35 miles ish) and is on the way, to my friends place.

Several years back, on the way to my friends, I stopped off for a cuppa and there was a 14 parked there. :onya:

Gold paint job with Japanese designs and lettering. It also, had a turbo and nitrous oxide kit.

Didn't spot the owner but can you imagine how, long his arms must have been, holding on to that with the throttle twisted back.  :happy1: :rofl2:

I'd love something with stupid amounts of horsepower.
I've had a nitrous bike, a supercharged H2, a big bore GSX1100, most of the big sports tourers like all 3 types of Busa's, ZZR's, Blackbird etc. Bandits, Z1000's, GSXR's, a Kat, Streetfighters.

I've never owned anything that was really nasty, a bike where you struggle to use all the ponys.  I've ridden turbo Busa's and a turbo GSXR that were in that class, but riding someone else's bike is very different.

As I've said before, absolutely wasted on me, pointless... but doesn't mean I shouldn't. I actually got as far as having a plan and the cash in my hand to make a Busa go OK, but I came home with the DRZ.

Maybe one day.
Maybe not.

Mate has supercharged k3, it's unreal to ride,he did lots of ks never a problem. Last I heard had it in pieces looking for 300 rwhp. Its not scary to ride, ive had a couple that were but. 250 Honda Elsinore, scary in the dirt. H1 Kawa with my stupid ideas, 550 Suzi pistons, ported crazy, expansion chambers. That thing was scary. My life long Mate rode it once, refused next time. After nearly 50 yrs he would bring up the H1, the old do you remember that stupid Kawa you had 😂😂

Mr Gee

Wow. A dry day, clear skies, bright and sunny with the temperature into double figures. 2 degrees. :onya:

Was going to take the 14 for a spin but no joy. Light not flashing on the antenna, so not registering key anymore. :confused1:

Ho hum. Took the XSR9 instead. Not too far, a steady, bimble around the lanes and Poolhall for a cuppa, on the way home. :clapping:

Snow forecast for tomorrow. :whatever:
