26c? pfft my car said 30c on the way home, I'd used it instead of the bike as promised thunderstorms all day. We got about 10mins of rain & now it's muggier than ever.

Oh anyone got any good websites for routes though the Alps getting all the best passes as I might well be doing that rather than Scotland in August as my lass isn't up to a lot of riding currently & I've been told to go enjoy myself....

Cheers.

I've got an atlas I'm colouring in all the passes on, just need to link them all up.. I might even consider buying a twatnav if I can find a cheap one that allows enough route selection to not keep taking me the wrong way.

Have to admit I do use satnav if I'm planning a longer round trip, setting the route up using tyre and transfer the planning file to my TomTom.  Works for me

Today:

495K's / 307 miles in the Ute helping my brother-in-law move house.

His new place is a little cottage up a dirt road in a valley tucked away on The Range.  Water pumper up from a dam, no dustman, etc. House is in a little fenced off area in a 100 acre cattle paddock. A lot of the property has tree's and the owner is happy for him to collect all the firewood he may want.

Looks like the kind of place that would suit me :)

I loved it.

Couldn't hear a car or traffic if you tried, couldn't ever see another house, no one to annoy you and no one you can annoy. I'm looking at properties in the same area (have been for some time) was only after 4 to 12 acres but if its 100 acres or more its not a problem.

I've just downloaded that, will have a play around later as I found reconditioned tomtoms for £31.49 & ordered one last night.

Envious of all those good things. Just finished two days of home must dos. Painting, pruning, mowing, weed spray, ant spray. Now in the good books, do what i want. Also cleaned and filled bike, not a totally lost weekend. Cold beer now.  :boogie:

Grog... I'm same same as you.  Brownie points needed to ensure a long ride out without her indoors pulling a face... :rofl2:

Always make sure chores are done  :clapping:

I pulled 10 new cars from stock for a separate order to my normal allocations. All going out to be kitted up as Qld police cars. I think the order is for 50 vehicles and these are the first group. I'm not normally keen for ride in a cop car but at least I was driving. At least next time I'm stopped I can say I drove that before you did officer... LOL

12 to 18 months and I will be, but hopefully sooner.

I don't want to be able to see or hear another person, house or vehicle from my next house.

Helping my brother in law move last weekend has only confirmed that its do able.
