noticed today my front tyre is stuffed. been brilliant. i posted before that theyd done 20 th ks, just had a look , i stuffed up. 17 th. its done. still unreal life. rear has heaps left. i usually replace both together but this time will just do front. cant see a reason why not. another 5 th left in rear. amazing tyres. never a problem. michelin last set, nowhere as good and both stuffed at 15 th ks. problem with michys was tram tracking over white lines and cracks in road. pirellis dont.

So what are these Pirelli's like in really heavy rain, lots of standing water ?
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

That's really amazing mileage to get out of them mate.

Not sure about the GTs, but I'm definitely looking to fit Angel ST's to my 14 next.

Cheers.

I have been using the Angel GT's for a number of years over all 4 seasons. Admittedly WA doesn't get the heaviest of rainfalls but I have barrelled both the GSX1400 and the K1600 through axle deep, standing water without a problem.
May the sun be warm & shining and your roads be smooth & winding.

Jeez Baty.....axle deep water. I'd be scared of the bloody crocs.
I meaning more like highway speeds when a cars wipers can barely keep up.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

I just changed my front angel gt too. Went for rego check and they picked it up. Rear has another 1000ks left in it. I got 10000ks out of it. Im happy with that. When I do ride its usually only weekend twisties so to get that many k's out of it with that amount of grip wet or dry is really awesome. There would have to be a lot of talk about another tyre to get me to change.

Now to go wear out the rest of this rear tyre....          going for the 55 profile this time, see how it goes :smile2:

I run Michie PR4s at the moment.

I've always been a Michelin fan - and found no reason to change but its funny you should mention this as I've noticed I am tram-tracking quite a lot more than I am used to.  Not sure why as I've not changed anything lately.  I don't like it.

I'd have thought the  suspension setup would be the main culprit for tram-tracking so interesting that you've found a tyre that doesn't when another brand tyre does!

Perhaps, for the sake of science and stuff, I'll give these Pirelli Angel GT's a go.  And I definitely am going to try a 55 rear.

Only one 'problem' is I changed the tyres not long ago so won't need to change them again for ages yet.
I do commute daily though so they are wearing more in the middle than the edges... :(

@VladTepes

I had PR4GT prior to the Angels I've got now. They were fine when new, it wasn't until over ½ worn that I noticed tram tracking & white line aversion. I wasn't horrendous or anything, just something I noticed that wasn't there at the start.
Very happy with the Angel GT's at the moment, would I buy PR4's again, yeah probably  - (certainly over some of the other stuff out there), just depends on how the current ones go as they get worn.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Got the angel GT on mine too.

Can't fault them.

Had some old - hardened - bridgestones on it before so the switch transformed the bike completely for the better  :onya:

Am happy with PR4's, im on my third set.
I can see myself fitting a set of Pirellis just so i can see for myself if there is any difference. Next tyre will also be a 55 profile.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

even worn out angels dont tram track, but having said that, my front has slightly lately, but its totally stuffed. i was a michy person also but couldnt believe how easily the big girl turned in when angels first fitted. i thought moving around on long cracks/white lines was normal. never worried me. pirelli changed that, no suspension adjusts.

grog

double post, sorry. why are you guys changing to 55 profile? i like stability, raising arse end should be quicker steer but less straight line stability. not sure i understand why.

Went into bike shop today to talk tyres for our upcoming 10000km road trip, they suggested to Angel GT 190/50 I have half worn Metzler Z8s on atm. I don t want to stuff around fitting new tyres on during the trip, I will give the Angels a try. The riding is open highway high speed most of the way.
