Yikes! - memories for me as well Col - I came off on a bend in NZ many years ago on my K75. Hit gravel in the bend and front washed out and ended up in the ditch. I jumped clear of the bike and skidded onto the shoulder and the bike got stopped by the barbwire fence, Pride hurt more than anything and thankful for all the years of dirt riding to know when to let the bike go!

Fitted & balanced a new Road 5 to the rear of the Blue, it now has the set of Road 5's.   Should really take her out for a run I guess . . .

So I did & a lovely thing it was too. No dramas with the new shoes, held tight in the corners & I have a nice wear patch over most of it now.  Booked in for a WOF next week, same as your MOT.  Not expecting any issues with it.

Gave the 1400 a good cleaning and took it for a ride along the coast. Warm day but the sea breeze was very refreshing.

New front end, rebuilt forks, finished off the caliper refurb (bled them again) and new front wheel bearings.

Cleaned & spin the bobbins on the B/W, and took her for a run through the Buller Gorge to Inangahua Junction & back, just for fun.

Good blueberry muffins at the Inangahua shop Col. How long to get from your place to there. Nice part of the country.

Depends on tourist traffic through the gorge, but 30-35 min usually does it.

Checked the brake fluid yesterday, tester said time for a change (4+% water), so new fluid into the clutch, front brake & rear brake circuits.  All appears to have bled ok, but will test / check on the road today.

I was wondering if I'd got the rear & clutch done proper, so before I went out today, I re-bled each of them.  No bubbles & no difference to the feel, so it was an unwarranted exercise, but it's peace of mind to know they are actually right.   Roll on Tuesday for the WOF.

Started the assembly of the rear end. Got the swing arm blackend, new swingarm protector, bearings, chain and sprockets, clutch seal mod and pushrod and some more small things.
