Today got little Ryco fuel filter as found by Eric. Got 6ah Ryobi battery, MechPro screwdriver set, certainly not perfect quality but not too bad, for $30 im happy. At Repco Aussies. https://www.repco.com.au/en/tools-equipment/tool-kits-sets/screwdriver-bit-sets/mechpro-blue-70-piece-screwdriver-set-mpbsd109k/p/A5496560

Didn't really need a small cheap roll cab.

... but I still bought it as without the wheels on it fits under my "Dirty Bench" that I use for grinding, drilling, sawing etc. The bench is better than it looks, quite heavy and 4 bolts into the concrete.

A few brackets and some self tapping screws and the El Cheapo draws are fixed to the bench pretty solid.

I'll keep a basic set of tools in it so they are at hand. Screwdrivers, metric sockets, pliers, hammer etc.

Not purchased today, but a while back. I found a couple more sets of Vessel JIS screwdrivers I'd squirrelled away so 1 set can go in the new "dirty" tool box.

Fits the Busa, GSX14, B-King etc, and I wanted a spare.

like them, so handy. Also works on my BMW front wheel
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

That reminds me, I need to check if I still had one.
Think I had two, but one was under the 14's seat.

I have a several threaded bar "rod coupler / all tread joiner nuts" that are a perfect fit for the 1400. Cost very little as they are a consumable in the building trade and work great with a socket or ring spanner on them.

Last week saw me buy my first ever pair of Kevlar jeans! Often thought about a pair when I had my k5 but price was an issue over ten years ago. These were heavily reduced (a good deal and keeping my money in my pocket are a life time hobby) queue up the tight Scotsman jokes! Reduced from £160 to £70 they seem good value. I think the reason they were so cheap is I require MAN size now, I'm not taking the piss out of you lads that would make a good pull through brush for a rifle, I was one myself? but I'm starting to notice the benefits of not being standard size when it's sale time.
If you can fit your midriff into a 32-34 waist there's little point in thumbing through the end of season paraphernalia and likewise 42-44 chest. In order to save my forum muckers some serious cash I'll pass on my knowledge.
During the first lockdown I accompanied Mrs Boon on the weekly shop, yes I was that bored! We were in Lidl when I found their own brand steak pies and toffee filled yumyums, I jest you not, culinary crack cocaine my friends, that first year was just a blur of sticky fingers and gravy stained t-shirts. There's no evening meeting for yumyum addicts though so be warned, I'm learning to live with it but if the wife hadn't intervened well,,,,,,,2 inches shorter and I'd be a sphere?

On Sunday it will be 4 weeks since my Bike has been started, due to bad rain and then for the past week freezing weather (-8C here yesterday)..
I dont have a garage nor a shed and so all my bikes have lived outside under a decent cover.. I have NEVER used a maintenance charger of any sort and have NEVER had battery issues!
The reason being I ride all year (weather permitting) and a short ride for me is 40 miles..
In other words my riding habbits keep my Bikes Battery charged..
My previous GSX went 4 weeks and started on the button straight away, But that had a Yuasa battery !!

The GSX I have now has a Chinese Battery.. A make I have never heard of called "BS" (Great brand marketing there)..
Because its an unknown quantity I decided to buy a "Boost Jump Starter"..
Hopefully I wont have to use it, once the weather becomes drier and above freezing!

A front stand turned up today.
It may have been a late night Amazon purchase from a while back.

Really handy for me.

As I'm getting older, my arthritis is worse, a hernia, a lazy valve in my heart etc putting the bikes on and off the rear paddock stand is starting to get a bit sketchy. The holding the bike upright on my own and lifting it with the rear stand is still do-able but getting harder.

With a front "roll on" stand I ride the bike onto it, get off and the bike requires little or no effort to hold upright as I walk around the back and fit the rear stand.

I'm sure the internet experts will correct me, but fitting a paddock stand over the roll on stand actually works fine (just looks odd). It lifts the front enough to clean the wheel, check the tyre, find the valve for pressure etc)

Today bought new 3/8 drive Minimax ratchet. Didnt know were still made. Original socket  set, still all good, few sockets replaced, bought 1973, so ratchet almost made 50 years, lots of that time as full mechanic work days. No doubt about Japanese quality.
