Today all my bits arrived to change from original indicators. 4 LED units, wiring adapters and LED flasher Relay. Hope i like the look, otherwise oldies go back on.

Yesterday, gave the bike a wash down... washed the previous days roadsalt off. took the Belly pan off.

Started to try and put the crash bars on that i'd bought off Daytona.... those engine mounts are on solid! ran out of time, so will have another crack at it this week.

Sometimes and overnight soak after a WD40 spray, then a sharp tap clockwise, then tap back to undo. Often works :whistling:

Fourth oil and filter change since covid started, have now racked up just under 20,000 kms in just over 12 months

KiwiCol

4 changes in 20,000? Good on ya! she'll be nice & clean in there.

Just as an aside, my Merc does 25,000k oil changes, oil costs more, but still works out cheaper overall.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Col, i still like 10k oil change in cars. 25 just couldnt do it. Steve, great Ks, give Synnex3000 a go, your gear change will love you. Just my choice, cheap but not nasty.

That's what I've been using all year, I took your advice a while back, costs about 1/2 of the Penrite

Didnt know Steve. I find it a great oil. Both my cars and bike contain same. Im no cheapskate on oil, it works. Years ago i trialed many oils, results lost when old org failed. Aussie oils, UK oils, dedicated bike oils. Around 10 diff brands.Just an experiment, dont think it hurt my bike.  Only real way to tell was gear change and engine noise. Worst by far was Motul, which was also dearest. Gulf Western was far away cheapest, best gear change and motor noise at idle. Some  oil came in stupid 4 litre containers, Silkolene. My mate pays over $100 for his Ducati oil for just under 5 l. Its just Shell, i tried that also.

Oil change and chain replacement done: RK 530 XW chain, 18/41 RK sprockets, GW synertrex 3000 oil and hi-flo oil filter. Went for a ride, just beautiful , smooth as silk. Would not think it was an 18yo bike.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Always a hotly debated subject which I try to keep my nose out of except when it comes to Desmo's as I was looking after a few 8 valve race bikes and I could track the wear when Mobil secretly reduced the zinc in the Mobil 1,back in the 90's  took a while to work out what was going on and it took a call to Mobil to clarify, have been using the V twin oil since which has high zinc with no more premature wear

Today was a nice little ride. Oil and Filter changed. Adjusted throttle cables.Checked tyre pressure. Not much else wrong i could find. Next week will clean n lube chain, clean air filter and re oil, KN. Chain might even need adjusting, been a while. Such lovely gear change with new blood in it. 👍👍

Steering dumper finaly mounted and tested. No restriction for steering area, solid mounting and for me great look. Happy with that.  :onya:
