Bloody cracker Tony.  That sort of scenario make a very good case for a relocation after 65.  Just the sort of run I love doing too.

So, today I went fishing at Kaikoura, only 2 keeper crays, but plenty of good size perch an 4 good Blue Cod. 1 was 53cm, that's a GOOD size bluey.
In town for tea n a few bevies' - very pleasant day.

Well done Col. I reckon that NZ Hoki is nice fish. Tastes better than they look. Just near here yesterday  4.5 metre Tiger Shark bit a blokes kayak. One lucky bloke.

They showed that story on the news here Grog.....very lucky fella :boogie:

Col , he was very lucky, he was 1.5ks out to sea. they then spotted another, calm water beach, bulcock beach, loads of people always there.

Now if the bloke in the Kayak had a rod & line, he could of landed that tiger.  -  always the optimist

I went for a quick trundle around the Peak District. The last 10miles home after dark in sunglasses was interesting, but I couldn't be bothered to stop & put on the clear glasses I had with me.

Lunch in Matlock & then home on the twisties in the sun  :boogie:

Had a ride out to find Gamston airfield today as the weather was so nice, if a bit chilly. My wife bought me a flying lesson for my birthday the other week so thought I'd go and find the place - any excuse to get out on the 14 :)
Sun in my eyes all the way back though which was interesting at times! Looking forward to the flying lesson too

Step daughter was extremely focused on school, then Uni, then after getting her degree a short term placement in the Federal Police, then her internship with the United Nations War Crime Trials.   Now she needs a job.   She's applied for a few but doesn't want just anything, fair enough.

She just got a call and she's got a job as a lawyer with the Government Public Trustee.

Not bad for a 1st job. Pretty sure she will start on a higher wage than I've seen in a long time.

Its her birthday today.

Double celebrations tonight.
