"DTC" You mean the slush box ? Nooooy way on any motorcycle I'll ever own
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Eric, only way to change clutch friction point I can see is to shorten the little pushrod.I had a bit of a measure, seems 5mm off would bring lever around 20mm closer to bar. No idea if that affects how it sits in place or even if a good idea.

I'd grind a smidge* off the end of the clutch lever where it rests on the pushrod myself. I've done it the other way for a brake lever that was too far in & I epoxied a thin bit of metal to it. I guess you could grind the face where the lever adjuster sits too, as that'd bring the lever in too. I'd rather mod the lever than the bike as it's easier to reverse if you don't like the result.

Cheers gents, I was thinking the pushrod as well, or, deepening the brass round bushing so the pin sits in a bit deeper, thinking that this keeps the pin and lever correct and untouched, whilst the bushing can be easily replaced. Oem lever is not super expensive (webike Japan) but the bushing is only a few bucks.

Im not near the bike atm, will need to have a measure and play, I still have the old lever and bushing, might experiment on the old bushing first to see what say 1-2mm does, noting that the old bushing is pretty worn already, maybe 2-3mm out of round.

Maybe just swapping them out will tell me if that makes a difference.

Ahh yeah I forgot they had the bushing that side, it was a brake lever I modded. Agreed on drilling it a bit deeper. Although the idea for the face on the lever the adjuster sits on would still work.

Today just an hours test ride. Old clutch lever back on, friction point closer, so much easier take off, gear change, back to how it was. I padded my seat up just over 50mm/2 inches for a test. Hooray, no cramp👏👍 So now to decide on a permanent plan. I actually thought gear lever& brake pedal were in a more natural spot.Have never adjusted them before but amazing what you find.Happiest ride for a long time.

Awesome Grog, very glad to hear it, so no more Burgmann scooter talk ok!

Airhawk arrived the other day, im thinking to fit it under the windrider mesh seat cover I've got, as they look a bit naf, should also bring the front part of the seat up a bit.

Its amazing what a slight tweak does for the ergonomics.  I normally start with the perches just loose enough to move a bit, then drape my hands on the bars, then drag or push the levers until they fall into your grasp, takes a bit, and sometimes the clutch ends up higher than the brake or vice versa.

Did that to the bmw, plus my push bike and helped my neighbour out with his new MT01 the other day.

My basic setting for levers is so the top of my hand is inline or very slightly down from my forearm. That's when my fingers are resting on the levers without pulling them. If I stray much from that I get wrist ache if they're too low or the back of my hand aches if they're too high.

Kawa Vulcan 650 has what they call ergo fit. Great idea, seat adjustable, up down etc. Handlebars obviously but foot pegs up down, fwd back.  18 options.Only bike I know of with similar.

Thought about washing mine but then, the neighbour started cutting slabs and there was dust blowing everywhere, so knocked that idea on the head.

That looks 'all white' /Barrymore accent

I went to look at a FJR once, couldn't admit I was that old & bought the Triumph Sprint GT next to it. That was a mistake & it got traded for my HD in under a year.
