thats what I thought of doing tbh, might still give that a go down to the shoulder then hose off, no detergent as Irish wisely suggests.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Just ride it ... scrub them in with a cruisey ride ..

Wasn't that just to hide your chicken strips?

Bled the clutch & am ½ way through flushing & replacing the coolant.  2 x 10 minute jobs, but hours of disassembly to get at them and worse to get it back together. Still, I'm getting there.

This is what it should look like:

and to get to the clutch slave:

Radiator out:

Like a gutted rabbit

Almost got the radiator mounted, but 1 B*@#ard mount won't line up . . .

Big job Col, going well. Just another life test. All over for the day, now another beer test, the best part. I do that test everyday 😂

Dwain Dibley

Fair play for having a go mate, looks like a right ball ache.
Still, it will look better after a beer....or two.

It's back together again, no bodge & no bondo. man, what a mongrel job. Once you access the slave, it's a 10 minute job, same to drain. flush & refill coolant, but, removing the radiator and expansion tank & their surround covers, what a bloody nightmare!   I'll never take that radiator out again! Getting it out was bad enough, but trying to put it all back together was worse. So many screws and fitting you have to install blind, just by feel and it doesn't help that some of the holes don't line up nicely, you have to wiggle to find 2 blind holes to match up and get a screw started.

But It's done & torqued (more or less)  Believe it or not, they have torque spec of 4nm and I even saw 1 that was 1.5nm! Yeah, right . . ..   Beer oclock now. I've reset the service indicator and just a clean now, then she can come down off the hoist.   I've run her up to full operating temp 3 times to check for leaks, none, so pleased with that.

Well done, you're a better man than me. I just pick easy jobs now and send the others to the shop. I think trying to get to the H2 SX's hidden ECU was the final straw for me.  I used to love having projects to tinker with, and doing jobs on my regular bikes was never a drama. Now I have a lack of interest. As time goes on I'm happier just being a rider. I've got oil filters, plugs, an air filter etc sat on the bench, it's just a chore I don't want now.

Today was first time in my life I paid to have my car serviced. No hoists available, not covered by insurance, wasn't/ can't crawl around on the floor.Just how it is🤷🏼

The Rocket is quite an imposing looking motorcycle and I do prefer the modern iteration to the older clunky looking ones.
I'd happily park one in my garage. However I'd never even consider what you've undertaken Col. When you say small screws I imagine they're microscopic in between your fingers big fella.
Job well done by you 👍👍✅✅🙀💰💰

Best allrounder I've ever owned 👍

Cheers guys.  Chris, the smallest screws are on the radiator cap and false cap, they're tiny screws to stop people pinching the cap. Ya almost need a jewellers screwdriver to undo them. Just glad I never dropped either of them, no way I'd find them again.

First ride today with the new levers. Brake is great, lever is nice and firm again, those few hard stops seem to have helped a lot.

Clutch action is nice, but as Grog says, the bite point is a bit far from the bar. At least no clutch slip with the lever fully out, but id prefer it closer to the bar.  Need to have a think what I can do.

Best thing is no vertical play in both levers.
