My mum has been admitted to palliative care at QE2 hospital yesterday after 10 days in Mater establishing her terminal cancer diagnosis.
It's shocked me to see such a rapid decline in a few short days.
My brother flew from UK last night and we visited her today with Bobbie in tow.
She woke several times and acknowledged us all so that made me happy. She said she's looking forward to reuniting with Dad 🙏🙏

Last photo is circa 1973-4 🤣

I feel for ya Chris, losing loved ones is always hard, it comes to us all eventually. Dad was last year too wasn't it?  Remember the positive.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Yes Col 22/02/2025 Bobbie and mine third wedding anniversary 🙄🙄

We're all in shock it's happened so quick but it's what she wanted. A very tenacious lady. The only woman I would allow to clip me around the ear when I stuffed up. 50kgs wringing wet but with an Irish temper 😢🥊.

We remembered a lot of good memories today and laughed and cried.

Sorry for your loss Chris. It's never easy to deal with the passing of a loved one.

Thoughts are with you Chris, I lost my dad a few years ago & it leaves a hole that is never filled in your life.

Our thoughts are with you Chris and your family  :bugga:
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Can only repeat what the others have said.

However, I believe that no one really dies, as long as you remember them.

My Mom died in 2012 but she's still in my head, giving me grief when I do things she wouldn't approve of.  :happy1:

My condolences for your loss Chris.
There's always room in the world for a bit more tolerance and kindness.

Condolences mate, remembering a life well lived.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

My condolences Chris, I know what you are going through, my mum died 2 years ago surrounded by her family.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

So sorry for your loss Chris,,,thoughts with you knowing how you are feeling,,take care ,,

Sincere condolences Chris. Watching a loved one go through what your mother did is so hard as I lost my wife 8 years ago in similar circumstances. I'm suffering at the moment too as my 52 year old son decided three weeks ago that he'd had enough so jumped in front of a train.
If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.
