My sincere condolences Chris - always so hard losing parents, my father passed back in 2003, my mother passed on Xmas Day back in 2016, still think of her every day, glad you and your brother got to see her before she passed, and that her passing was peaceful.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

I'm suffering at the moment too as my 52 year old son decided three weeks ago that he'd had enough so jumped in front of a train.

@Snapey so very sorry to hear buddy, I can't imagine what you must be going through, so sorry that I can only offer my sincere condolences

So sorry to hear that Snapey, condolences.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Unfortunately I am able to relate to Snapey.  Heartfelt condolences to ya mate, it's bloody hard no denying it, but eventually, time helps heal the wound.  It will never go away, just reduce.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Thanks guys for the kind words.
If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.

Oi....you must really be old feckers :sarcasm:

No.. my sincere thoughts do go out to you.

I am lucky / blessed.
My parents are still around, my inlaws are  around, our daughter just turned 16.

So after reading this...
Guess most of you are no longer considered "actively working class" anymore.
