Quote from: Tally on Wednesday, 04 March  2026, 05:05 AMBack in February I ordered some crows feet ratchet spanners off the internet, due for delivery on 17th Feb , never arrived. Temu gave me £4 credit. Ok I said I'll wait a little longer . 2nd march no goods so requested a refund to which they said yes , and as a bonus they said if the goods eventually turn up I can keep them. Oh yeah on the tracking app they are somewhere between Germany and the U.K.
are those the special chinesium ones made from what looks like metal but is actually cheese?

Double Gloucester though . . .

Quote from: KiwiCol on Wednesday, 04 March  2026, 04:43 AMRabaconda tire change machine would be the mutts, but I'm not going to get the use out of one to justify the cost, be ok if I was 25 or something & had years of riding ahead me, but then at 25 I wouldn't of been able to afford one.
A good mate has one of the Rabaconda street bike tyre changers. He's made a frame to get it up off the ground and we used it to fit some tyres to my 990 wheels a while back.

It'd be a decent thing with some practice but the price tag puts it out of the reach of most. I have 6 bikes in use at the moment and (hopefully) 20 odd years of riding but I still  wasn't convinced one would be a worthwhile purchase - not as easy to use as I'd hoped and rim damage is still easily done.

send it to Hooli, it'd look good on the MkI.

Given the oil filter location on our 1402, a chrome filter housing would look like a big shiny knob
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Plus it'd get covered in road grime flung off the front wheel making it dirty chrome. You don't notice a black one so much but a chrome one would show the dirt real quick.  IMO

Mr Gee

Nice, if you like spending all of your time, on your knees polishing. :onya:

Need a good supply of Chrome Polish and rags.  :hat:

Chrome Allen head bolt covers for the handle bar allen bolts, should look nicer than the dull bolts
Thankfully we all like different things, and I like a modded GSX1400

I put stainless ones on the chromed bar end weights. Still need to update the handlebar mount bolts to better stainless as they are showing signs of rust (they are only plated). Afternatket 'bars on the bike when I bought it, relatively low and straight compared to the standard 'bars

I bought push in caps, look good.Original caps had lost their tension.

MrGee, lots of rags, polish and time. Knees just survive, been polishing this bike many years, it's just something that has to done👍

Hooli

Once I finish my polished 14, can someone pop over & demo this 'cleaning' concept please?

grog

I wish I could Hooli, it's enjoyable I reckon😀Gather your clean/ polish product, some rags etc. Nice little sit on stool, Fave music,  fridge with beers.Wash n dry first, then the ideas for the polish rag just happen. When I was younger, used to take my bikes to pieces to clean, tank, seat, exhaust off, not these days.

Apparently I'm doing that for a mate so she can clean her's properly before the season starts. I might take notes

Hooli, I'm Virgo, clean freak sign. I actually hate it my my whole life. Clean bikes, everything in its usual place, golf clubs, tools even the food pantry. It's a curse, no rubbish in car, clean shed, grass mowed. Just hate it but can't change it.

Hooli

My car is clean inside, nothing else is though.
