I wholeheartedly agree it's Phil's bike and his choice however, such a well sorted bike in my eyes and I was immediately drawn to those "CRASH BARS".

😊, cheers for the comments, I understand what your saying, the crashbars are new (can't get them in chrome anymore).
I'm really just trying to protect the engine a bit should things go wrong.

Maybe the previous owner of mine should have fitted some...

Knowing how long before the pegs those renthal crash bars touch down to cause a crash, I'd never run them again.

Surely a set of oggy crash knobs can be fitted? Less obtrusive and don't touch down before a foot peg does
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

As I've said before, my bike my choices, I  recall some didn't like my handlebar fairing, or bellypan or undertray, I didn't build it for anyone else but me, and this is the 2nd bike I've built in a similar manner/style, I like it.
And frankly I wouldn't be so rude to comment if I didn't like something here.

Fitted new rectifier, bike ran like crap. Plugged old rectifier in, same thing.

Put a bit more fuel in, it started, but seems to run on 2.5 cylinders.

As per my other posts, bike has been using a lot of fuel, I have checked oil temp sensor and this appears to be working as intended. Throttle bodies are balanced, oil and filter is new, air filter cleaned.

I thought it was better when warmed up, idled at 1100rpm at least. Rode it to work, it was a pig, spluttering,  no power, generally misbehaving. Not a happy bike at all.

So now thinking, in order of likelihood (highest to lowest):
- signal generator magnet has failed
- injectors blocked (I've put in a bottle of injector cleaner)
- coils and ht leads and caps
- plugs fouled
- blocked lp and hp fuel filters (mine are external)
- dirty fuel
- valve clearances ?
- burnt valves?

Will spend this weekend going through each of the above.

Eric, T24 post recently, exact same symptoms, ECU bad earth. Worth a try, just run a jump lead. Also extra earth lead from battery a good idea, an old post of mine. More thinking, not sure if he meant external earth or in multiplug.

That's a bugger Eric. I feel for you, I know how frustrating it is to have your bike play up.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Thanks fellas,

"Also extra earth lead from battery a good idea, an old post of mine."  Will check earth's and leads. Weird thing is last ride a few weeks ago was faultless. Just parked up for about 2 weeks in the shed.

Thanks KF, it's just a machine, can be fix3d, but it's annoying when not running right, I agree.
