I would lose my mind if it leaks, new roof on mine solved its leaks and we get 3x rain UK. ☔️🦆☔️

I'm surprised you haven't added pontoons to your shed and house with the amount of rain you've had
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Funny enough Eric, new downpipe just fitted today. Piped into existing stormwater disposal. Hopefully stops gutter overflows.Ill get paint brush out tomorrow. Looks simple/ easy, around $700 to do, everything so bloody expensive

It's so drafty from the gaps that it dries out quite quickly though...

I'd like to sort it, but it's the usual money thing.

What's that big thing in the middle of the downpipe Grog?   Never seen something like that over here.

Oh, ok.  Leaf catchers on this side look way different, hence I didn't recognise what it was.

Same here. One on each of the seven downpipes. Mine have to go higher though as it's a charged system so needs to be sealed.

Quote from: KiwiCol on Tuesday, 07 January  2025, 08:04 PMI put some daytime driving lights on the Blue. Had them sitting here a while so fitted them & wired up. Went to turn them on & thought they weren't going, bugger, what went wrong?  :confused1:  Started the bike & they're going ok, but are bloody useless.  They just not bright enough, they look like christmas lights not daytime driving lights.  :furious:

Waste of time this afternoon. I'll leave them on the bike, but they don't do anything for visibility or safety.  You can see them ok at night as in the pic, but daytime, yeah, reckon I'm still invisible.

I'll take another one in daylight tomorrow.

Yesterday I was considering buying some DRLs for my bike. However, while doing some very pleasant online product comparison I learnt that here in NZ you can't have DRLs on at the same time as your headlight...section 10.3(2) of the Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Lighting 2004

That's absolutely true Pommeroy, However I see many many bikes with DRL's going along with their low beam during the day.  I drove to Nelson & back today (collecting panniers & brackets for the R3GT) and saw heaps of bikes, many with DRL's & low beam on, so dunno what gives. The GSX is due for a WOF soon, so if they say "no they gotta go", I won't be too upset as they're not that bright anyway.
It was just an added safety measure TBH & if that's not allowed it's pretty poor.

I agree Col...anything that makes bikers more visible, while not increasing any risk to others should be encouraged.

I've had my DRL's fitted for a while. Been pulled up for speeding and Plod didn't mention them.
I've just watched an advert on TV where ole mate hides himself traveling along behind a car and then gets cleaned up by an oncoming vehicle that turns right. The Ad says "motorcycles can be hard to see" .......
I'd fit 'em Rob.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

I think I shall, and see how it goes when I need a new WOF...I may be wrong, but I wonder if a bike friendly place (e.g. a bike dealership) may view them differently to somewhere like VTNZ or the AA.
