They are good Col.RST were disappointing,thought id buy British for quality. Turned out badly made inside and materials not that good.Stitching protruded and couldnt walk in them. Italian boots made in China, who would think far better, not me but they are.

25kg of fine crushed glass for blasting bits of the bike clean.

I already have glass beads (somewhere) but this was cheap enough to allow me to experiment to see which is best for cleaning with the least amount of damage.

That reminds me, the Storms on mine are getting to be very odd shapes & nearly ready for replacement.

Avon Spirits (the replacement for Storm 3DXMs) will be going on.

Spirits ordered yesterday afternoon for about £260, already here! not bad for a 2-3 day delivery service.
Even better a local shop had a gap so booked in to get them fitted tomorrow afternoon. Just need to bungee the tyres on the bike to get there, at least it's not far.

It seems to becoming more popular to buy tyres online and pay a local to fit them, my local independent bike tech recons the mark up on tyres for him is so small he is happy to fit the customers own and balance at £10-£15 per tyre, while the main dealers want to overcharge for the tyres and refuse to fit any that they haven't sold

I've started doing it as it's cheaper like you say. It's got to the point I can buy tyres online cheaper than garages can from their suppliers, so beats me why they don't order online too.
