I'm still in shock that Notty wasn't on the original BT-020s as his bike never moves  :stir:

BanditsHigh

£50 for fitting, holy shit!!

They really do look like off road tyres

I've just moved onto Pilot Road 4's as my beloved Pilot Road 2's don't seem to be available anymore ... £500 in tyres over the last few months (for the K3 and the K4) ... might even last me until I kick the bucket  :happy1:

All the best ... Barry
Still alive ... just!!

Notty.... changing your choice of woman will likely cost you more than £370.
But then you could always road test a Chinese copy
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

A very good price Notty.
I paid £460 for Michelin Road 6 fitted to a Triumph Explorer 1200 I used to own.
You will get a lot more than 5000 miles on those!
I did 8000 on the Triumph then sold it and got Sophie II (1400).

Those 6 Michys get rave reviews.Wont change my choice, old dogs, new tricks etc. 😂

Andre

I am sticking with the road 5. Changes with the road 6 went the opposite direction of what I value in the 5. Why pay more for less. Only applies to me. For others the road 6 is probably the better tire.

On my 3rd set. Last front had barely legal treads after 8250km. Rear was still very legal after 10500km but the flanks were down too much for my liking. Flanks don't count here in establishing legality. Front lasts less than rear, as predicted.

Kiwifruit

Andre what is it you like about the Road 5 that the 6 doesn't offer.
I quite liked the Road 4.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Andre

Less rubber for more money. :coffeescreen:

The road 6 have more profile over more surface. Makes for better grip in the wet in corners. I don't care about that as I don't ride in the wet.

Even if I were to ride in the wet, I would still not care as my riding corners would have much less lean. That was Michelin's argument when they came out with the road 5.

I like the NO-profile on the flanks of the road 5. Makes them more like slicks in the corners.
