...I'm unsure how much I'd actually use it once the novelty wore off.

Save $$$ and buy a well sorted cheap DR650 and just have fun.

Today I saw 2 less hens.

First ones I've lost to a snake.
A lot of my place is laid out and planted or put aside for wildlife, so I can't really complain when wildlife does what wildlife does. I'm sad about losing a couple of very tame hens, but I'd have been more upset if it had been a fox.

A reasonable size Coastal Carpet Python. Not hard to relocate when it eaten a whole hen !

On a positive note, it's nice to see a snake here that's non-venomous for a change. Much easier to deal with.

Yeah, I don't do anything to over encourage them, I keep the lawns short, the yard tidy, don't give them an ideal home near the house, but you can't make everything snake proof.

I have a few Eastern Browns, Red Bellied Blacks and Black Snakes around the place so im normally pretty cautious. I don't harm them, no point, it's illegal and another would soon take its place.

Nature doing what nature does.

Yeah, I don't have a drama with pythons, even the larger ones, most aren't too bad to deal with.

The larger Eastern Brown I see never heads for cover, always stands its ground. The only fatality recently near here was from an Eastern Brown, two of my neighbours have lost dogs to Eastern Browns. Had a few around me doing earthworks, I'm not so keen to deal with them.

Mower attachment on the back of your tractor would sort them out.  :onya:

I try not to, but I've run over a small Red Bellied Black and a young rabbit recently. My 4 & 1/2 foot slasher is set pretty low and gives anything in its path a serious haircut.

A month ago rang local council, pot holes, road degradation outside my place.I thought would take forever, totally wrong. Lots of bikes use my road so needed attention. Today all action, re tarred one section, back tomorrow to do another 100 metres.Incredible result👏

One man working, three watching...roadies are the same the world over!
There's always room in the world for a bit more tolerance and kindness.

Cant argue result, quite amazing. Tomorrow is finish to corner. Spent many days coming round to dodge pot hole

Hooli

I like how your guys finish one bit & then do the next. Here they'd dig it all up for days & then recover the lot, so they could leave the roadworks up for weeks on end.
