Sorry Vlad. Not much of a wood person. I did build guinea pig cage once, dog ate the guinea pigs so it never passed the test of time.  :)

I saw this "Heavy duty" monster for sale at an antiques market in Cardiff on Thursday :imrgreen:

My Dad was a carpenter by trade back in his early days. He served in the Merchant Navy as ships carpenter on SS Port Campbell amongst other ships on the Port Line. Although he is now nearly 90 he still has many of the tools that he used back then.

He spent a lot of time in Australia and New Zealand. It was only a few years ago that we were watching the film..The World's Fastest Indian, all about the legendary Burt Munro that he actually realised that he'd seen him speed trialling his bike on the beech at Invercargill..Sadly he didn't take any photo's at the time of the event.
A couple of days ago someone mentioned Burt Munro in a post on Facebook. I made the above comment and someone has tagged a Lee Munro in it...I can only assume from looking at his profile, that he is in fact Burts Grandson...Amazing!

Desert Fox

Moving on a bit lol
I still use a Yankee 131  Screwdriver. Much better for taking slotted screws out.

I used a Stanley Yankee driver when I worked as a Hotpoint field service engineer..Brilliant bit of kit. I got through 3 of them in 18 years!!
I eventually progressed to a cordless driver, but it was nowhere near as fast.
