Is it worth trying to 'save' that chain?  :whatever:

It'll probably rust now that it's 'protective' coat has gone.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

The rest of the bike is safe from rust as it looks out of place from the clean chain.
It was more about having a couple of cleansers  but ended up having more than anticipated due to the time to clean it.  :boogie2:

My garage floor will never rust

Good on ya mate!      I think cleaning those battery terminals takes a fair while too . . .

If you can tell the difference between the swingarm & wheel it's still clean!

Might have to be an afternoon job on the weekend. Those terminals are pretty important

Tried my new Branto pads in the front this morning. They seem pretty damn good to me after just 50miles, only £21 for both sides from wemoto too.

Yesterday I wash my 14, and I manage to wet my speedohealer, so it stop working. As a result, my speedo was indicating "0" all the time  :frustrated:
I was quite disappointed, cause visually speedohealer seams very solid and sealed.

Take it home, warm it with hairdryer, and put it overnight in to the can with rice (just in case). When I fit it back, it was running like it should  :boogie:
Just to be safe, I sink it to isopropyl alcohol for few minutes, so any water leftovers will be gone. Still working :)

Those two times I have had problems with my two speedohealers, have been in spring time, after cold and wet winter. And my garage is cold.
Maybe the problem has been moisture. Still problem in quality?
Maybe I put my last speedohealer on fireplace for one winter and try again.

No ride today as my overhauling front caliper yesterday didn't go as planned. Received package with seal kit, opened it and found ONE seal instead of the 13 belonging in the kit. Now in the waiting hassle to get it sorted out. Sun is shining so it will be a walk in the woods instead of riding through the Ardennen.

MOT day today!
I've been forced to look for a new garage as my usual guy has gone out of Business!

Dan Hegarty runs a garage just 3 miles from my house (RTR Motorcycles) so I took it there, initially it FAILED.......but then he tightend a rear set bolt and it passed  :salute:

We had a good chat with a coffee whilst he did the MOT, interesting to get his view on the brakes, he gave me a bit of advice to try and help improve them but thought they were pretty good anyway.

Happy Days  :boogie:

Jussi, what can I say about your case... Looking closer to SpeedoHealer, it's week point are buttons. Case itself is flooded with some hard epoxy compound, but buttons seems to be unprotected, so water could get throw them.
When my unit was out of order, it's display indicate some random symbols after start. What were your units symptoms?
Another thing - condensation happens on temperature change... If your garage is constantly cold during the winter, then it there should be any condensations.

Regarding fireplace - not a bad idea to try, but I also suggest to use Isopropyl Alcohol before it - it does not conduct electricity and evaporate fast. Good thing to wash electronics. Just put it in some glass, and sink SH to it for some time (10m). If inside is not burned or corroded then this might help.

Speedometer slowly dropped to "0" during riding about 100 kmh. What figures were in display, I cant remember.
I will try that IPA trick and put it on fireplace for a winter.
I am not so interested of speedohealer now, when I have enough torque to use standard sprockets.
It was more important toy, when I was using smaller front and bigger rear sprockets with naturally aspirated engine.

Wheeled it out between the rain and washed the dirt off that i got taking it to for the MOT last week ( retired now so I don't do rain ) - Got my new lowered seat (thanks Paul) but its been so wet haven't tried it on the road yet  :smile2:
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Must admit the seat does look good on the bike
I did only did 150 mile from Basingstoke to home on it but did find it very comfortable, however cos my legs are long I was seine up by the time I got home but no numb bum lol

Andre, reckon youve nailed it. works its way back up from slave. think i can remember, from old org, an extra seal that can be fitted to slave. maybe a busa thing, cant remember. Barmy knows, im sure he had posts on it. every year or so i clean pushrod, mix up the grease oil mixture recod in manual, just to keep that seal into motor happy. a rebuild needed if it stuffs up. internal fit only. takes not much time to do

Here is Barmy's post you mention: http://gsx1400owners.org/forum/index.php?topic=259.0 I think they plainly forgot about this on the 14.
