Trust me, I have more jobs to do and I'm busier than I ever used to be !

I think retired folk get pensions... I'm just a dumb unemployed labourer.

Got the GSX out from under it's cloths and unhooked the battery tender checked the tyre pressures etc. in preparation for the commute to work on Monday  :boogie:  :boogie:  :boogie:
Neighbours will be impressed when I fire her up in the driveway at 4:15am. P.S. the sun will be up by then too  :whistling:

Best allrounder I've ever owned 👍

Many, many years ago my uncle had a BSA RGS and lived at the end of a narrow terraced street.  None of the other people on the street needed an alarm clock cos when my uncle went to work everyone knew about it until he got a day off, half the street was late for work
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

I took my 14 to Squires for no reason except to get out of the house. Noticed the Scottoiler wasn't working even when turned up so had a fiddle when I got home.

That went really well.... I think the delivery tube was blocked as it took a bit to blow down it & then it went easy. So I decided to fire the bike up & check. Absolutely dead, I get dash lights but no clocks, no fuel pump, no lights & no starting. Turn the key off again & the clocks sweep like they've had power attached.

I've checked all the connections in the headlight which seem ok. Plugged in my old ignition switch & get a headlight too but nothing else works. After fiddling for a bit the 7-pin relay by the fusebox stopped clicking & now nothing comes on at all but I still get the clock sweep when I turn the key off. All fuses are ok so my suspicion is the 7-pin relay controls the ignition circuits as well as the indicators & fuel pump. I can't try the original as I lent it out ages ago & it got lost.

I've ordered a new relay, that should be here Weds apparently (doubtful with shitsmus post) if that doesn't fix it then I'm lost & will have to do some proper thinking with the wiring diagrams.

Short version - bloody bikes!

I remember someone saying to keep spare 7 pin under seat🤫😂 Must check if mine still there.

 I did till I lent it to a mate to try & fix a very chopped 14 that had no life in it, it got lost in that workshop. Assuming it fixes my bike I'll order another as a spare to keep under the seat as well.

@hooli, if you get stuck I've got one on my shelf for you.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Cheers. I've got to fit chinky junk as I've got LED indicators, or I'd look for a genuine one to use. At £10 a time it's not too bad to carry a spare though.

I bought a 7 pin led specific relay off Ebay when I put the waterfall led blinkers on, it cost me aud 4.95 at the time including postage. Hasn't failed yet and that was at least 4 years ago.  Can't get them now for under 15aud delivered.

Aye this is an ebay special I think has failed & more ebay junk on the way. I'm sure they're all the same just sold by loads of different people.

Tally

Mines off e-bay too , still working fine, originals still under the seat just in case.

Yesterday, but posting it today as I had to reduce the size down.

Very pleased with this purchase. Loving the quickshifter & cruise control.  It sure has a noticeable increase of grunt over the GSX, very surprising, shouldn't have been, but it sure was a whoooa once she kicked in.
The brakes are awesome as well. Just real happy with the thing. The cruiser sitting style seems to suit my bulk better than just normal position.  Haast, nowt else to do, so off to the bar whet the whistle a few times!

😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎
