Mine has about 10% of hoolies mileage. I'll see if I can catch up.    :coffeescreen:

The odd thing is, I run other bikes too so this one doesn't do all the miles I ride. Does explain why my cars do so little mileage though.

Today's bike tasks was an oil change on my 14, it started perfectly both times again. Damn thing, I know if it does it again it'll be somewhere annoying. Then I washed the HD & put it away for winter, I tried that once before but when the stator went on the 14 I had to use the HD for a couple of weeks. TBH I've not done it as well this time & it's not had ACF50 spread everywhere all over it to protect it this time as cleaning bikes too damn boring & it started to rain. At least it doesn't look like it's covered in mud anymore though.

The Toyota Fortuner I bought just hit 12,000k's. I very rarely use it as I'm in the Hilux. My wife uses the Fortuner daily, I just realised in 12,000k's, she's never put fuel in it once !

Rode my 14 to work today, a very sedate ride as there's ice over the roads where the snow half melted last night. I really shouldn't have worn summer vented gloves though, my fingers got a little chilled.

No starting issues though, it's obviously waiting till I stop carrying the jumppack under the seat to do it again.

Had a few (much needed) wet days so I spent some time in the shed.

The 14 fired up straight away.

My old Gen-1 Busa has been stored away since before I moved house twice. A spare battery and some jump leads had it spinning over and a few pops and bangs but not running. It'll need some jobs doing but definitely has signs of life.

My GSXR is next if it continues raining today.

Yeah about that...

14's battery died twice yesterday when parked outside in the cold at work & later on outside the pub I go to every weds. I put the tester on it the first time & it still showed a good battery but half the CCA it shows after a charge, so it's obviously not a good battery.

Now I know it's the fault I'll replace it. Good job I kept carrying the jump pack really.

New battery acquired & fitted. Left the charger on it as it's been on the shelf for gawd knows how long.

Worked. Went pub & left it outside for 3 hours, came out in light snow & it fired right up without hesitation.

Good result Hooli. Batteries are mongrel things, some last, some dont. My last few were 9 yrs, 13 mths, 13 mths, latest is nearly 4 yrs.I dont reckon any brand is better than any other, just luck. My 4 yr is the lesser model of one that lasted 13 mths🤷🤷

normally takes me less than 3 hours in the pub to "fire right up without hesitation"
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

For a few years I use an Antigravity Lithium battery. UK made, I believe.
A bit expensive for sure, but full of very positive sides: in addition to expected lightness, it has a huge CCA (480 CA !! vs 200 for a Yuasa YTX14), higher capacity (16Ah vs 12Ah at best for a Yuasa), full internal battery management system that among other things prevents full discharge and provides an 'internal jump start' feature, just in case some always-on device has drained it, and quite conveniently provides 4 terminals that allow easy and clean wiring of extra things -- leaving the (+) 'boot' properly in place, for instance.

And no, I'm not working for them :)

I chucked in a SuperStart Lithium about 10 months ago, charged it up before installing but not since.  Bike doesn't get as much use as I split the time I do have between the two. Starts up first time everytime, motor spins up nice and quick.

Almost something I did to my bike, I cleaned my helmet! got all the liner bits out & washed them, they felt disgusting in places so it was overdue. Odd I'd never noticed when wearing it.
