I washed the bike as it was utterly minging - I stubbed my finger a stoater and now its loupin

My take on it.
Minging = Filthy
a Stoater = a beauty/really badly
It's loupin = it's killing me/ hurting.

I took some more bits off Stroppy, my kitchen work top now has a lot more parts on it. Plus last time I rebuilt her she'd seized a pin & ruined the small end so I got them machined out & BSA A10 bushes fitted. These got reamed to fit the Triumph pins & all seemed good.

However on stripping it down today I've found one of these bushes has moved. I'm thinking a small bit of tube in the oil hole would locate it better, but I'm not sure how to hold it all together. Any ideas?

Suggestions elsewhere are green loctite and peen the ends over. It's just a shame the machine shop who did the work didn't mention that as I just put it back like they suggested.

I certainly wouldn't put a small bit of tube in the oil hole. Years ago (1973 to be precise) I bought a new Tiger 650. 50 miles from new and she rattled like a good'un - all b3 amuse the bloke who drilled the hole in one of the cam followers left some swarfe in the oil hole of the follower restricting the flow.

I suppose a replacement conrod is not an option? Or even replace both conrod's maybe?

Not sure about peening over. As suggested above Lawrie can probably advise, if not then I think a chat with a local engineering firm to discuss options

A local engineering firm where I used to be are who buggered it up last time so the bush moves...

A new set of rods are about £250, plus big end bolts etc so to be avoided if I can fix this safely.

Are there no options for a smidgen more being taken out and new (slightly larger) inserts Andy?

Which loctite - myself I'd possibly think about blue perhaps, as has a bit more strength than green. May be worth reading this article before choosing.

May also be worth having a word with these guys to see what they say https://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/Engineers-Adhesives/c4460/index.html I've found them very helpful for advice in the past, they also do a range of adhesives, so may be able to suggest something

stroppy, its a 650/750 twin? small end bushes in them chew out or move because they arent perfectly aligned with big end bearings.must be perfect, no amount of loctite will solve it. needs a precision job. weight across big ends has to be shared across gudgeon bush, otherwise its a one side has this, other side has something else. just not even. hope this helps.

loctite 620 or permatex 64000, both up to 200c. both made for retaining engine brgs, trans brgs etc.
