First Ride out tonight to Fimber cafe near Fridaythorpe where my dad's ashes are scattered as he used to love riding to there with my mum. Just a a quick ish 36 mile round trip. Then when I got home my eldest daughter (11) wanted to go for a ride so she put on my wife's bike gear and we just had a pootle round our town just to see how she took to it. She says that she wants to go for a longer ride at the weekend.

I like Fimber, I didn't realise it'd reopened from the winter break yet.

And you guys think us Aussies have strange place-names.  Whoever came up with 'Fridaythorpe' must've been high on something or ' Thursdaywidget' was already taken....
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Hooli

It's history mate, something you lot only have a few months of  :stir:

Fridaythorpe: The 'thorpe' (or farm) belonging to a Viking named Frigdaeg Fulford: Anglo-Saxon name meaning the 'foul' or dirty ford.

There's a river a mile or two away next to an abandoned medieval village, so that might explain the ford part. There's a village called Wetwang a few mile up the road too with a great chippy.

Or 40,000years plus, depending on your p.o.v.

The cafe wasn't open just the car park.

:rofl2:I don't mind people going off topic in the slightest.

Bike is running okay a little bit hesitant sometime when opening the throttle but putting that down to the old fuel that was in it will run a couple of tanks of fresh fuel through it before getting concerned.

Just need to put some money aside for replacing the standard exhaust. That will have to wait need until I have some more funds.

Unless someone wants to swap a pair of aftermarket for my standard silencers  :happy1:

Maybe try some injector cleaner and use premium fuel for those couple of tanks - will help clean the system
