Not yet, but thinking about adding a TL1000 (either S or R) to the stable.  Ideally one in blue and white

I'd really love to do that - have had it in mind for years, but realistically would never get it past the missus (or in truth really be able to justify it myself while we have a big arse mortgage)

I'd definitely want an -R

S is more collectable. Seen by many as the hooligan version. It's reputation is a bit hyped but it's still up there with stuff like H2's, X7's, 350LC's etc as being a "bad boy" of motorcycles.

R might work a bit better and be up a bit on horsepower but it's different is a lot of ways. R was aimed at Superbike racing and had very little success, so Suzuki went more into the GSXR's.

Personally I'd buy an S but not an R.  It's like the Z1000 did a heap of stuff better than a Z900, but the 900 is the one to have.  To me the S has more character, is the original, has the reputation and value.   If I judged them on their ability I wouldn't be buying a TL as they are both very dated now.

GSXKING

I bought a black TL1000S in 1998 I found it much more user friendly than any Ducati's I'd ridden prior.
Huge grunt out of corners & very good handling, excellent wheelie machine. Rode to Phillip Island & back no issues 👍
Downside was rotory dampner on rear shock got cooked by rear exhaust heat. Expensive to replace, bike sold immediately 🧐

Des, another of our local GSX1400 owners had a nice TL.

^ That'd be my choice.

TLS, in black, can's, black screen, nice wheels and single seat hump.

on Bikesales Tony?

Facebook Market place. I was searching Suzuki's as some folk don't list their bikes as GSX's, Bandit, Busa's etc so did a general search in South Qld.

Today I bought some outdoor all weather blinds.

We really wanted the house facing the way it is, every thing from its appearance to the  view out the back. The down side was always the outdoor area gets the setting sun on an evening and can get a bit breezy.  3 outdoor roller blinds make a huge difference without losing the view.
