Hmmm, our international translation / word meaning, has risen it's head again.  Down this way, "a faggot" is a term that would be used to describe a bloke of the 'limp wristed / floral' persuasion. So, saying you'll eat faggots . . .    well, lets just say, it doesn't read quite right.

I had to look up what the word is intended for myself, sausage made from offal, usually pigs heart, fatty belly meat n stuff.  I assumed he meant that, was just the reading gave a different connotation.

I'm not home sick Pom, I'm very happy with what Australia has to offer, but occasionally it's nice to find the things I grew up with. Brains Faggots, Birds Trifle, Tango drinks, Twiglets, black pudding, pork pies, etc.

There are a few "English Stores" here selling food, football team gear, other UK stuff but normaly overpriced.

Overall I find the UK has a much greater selection of processed foods (I haven't found mulligatawny soup here) but AU wins on fresh fruit and veg and seafood.

At least I get my HP Brown sauce here !
