Quote from: grog on Thursday, 19 February  2026, 03:59 PMI saw where a couple, dual citizens, had booked/paid $35 g for world cruise ending in UK. New passport law, can't get it in time.Cruise departs without them but with their dollars. You would think a bit of compassion from cruise company but apparently not. They also miss some huge family gathering that's been planned quite a while.

My wife and I both have Australian passports. She can enter the UK using hers, I can't because they know I was born there!! There are a couple of ways around it, but as you said, they aren't quick or cheap.

Maybe I should just set off from France in an inflatable, they seem less bothered about that.  I'm not 100% convinced the UK have their priorities in order.

I bought some diesel.

Started giving the back yard a haircut.

Remember to paint yourself brown, forget to speak English & try to murder, rape or both every white person you see. You'll be welcomed with open arms by the traitorous authorities then.

Youre on it Hooli, they just brought some Israel president here. WTF. Wonder why protests, set up just to injure people. Total farce. Amazed that person let in, all set up for headlines, conflict, just a media frenzy. Sad old world. Lets just talk bikes

Kiwifruit

The bride has a new car today.
Never thought we'd ever buy a car from a dealership. Most of my cars throughout my motoring journey have been insurance write offs that I've then repaired.
Today we bought a near new Honda HR-V Sport hybrid in white. I like white....they look clean even when a bit grubby and they don't get so hot.
We venture into a hybrid for the first time. Not a plug in so no range anxiety. Good looking car a bit higher off the ground, easy for the seniors to get in and out, drives nice and yours truly gets a fresh supply of those hard to attain brownie points.
Happy days

Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Good work Col. Never had a new car. 5 new bikes only. Retired 18 mths, funny enough happy with a tiny Mazda 2. For once have enough money to buy what I want, car or bike, house etc. I find them all good  what I have so why change. Even my Wife 😂😂

Kiwifruit

My drive car is a white 2009 Jap import domestic market model 1200cc Suzuki Swift with a CVT trans. I love it, so easy to park, runs on the smell of an oily rag its presentable and if you want to open your door onto it I'm not heartbroken. From the lights it's a bit of a sleeper as nobody ever thinks the silly grey haired old git is going to get the jump on them. Cost me next to nothing and it's cheap as chips to insure. Winner !!
Same as your Mazda Grog, cost effective motoring.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

I bought a scooter.
WTF?
Never thought I'd see the day.
It's a 500, so a trip to Brisbane should be okay (from the Goldie).
I've bought lighter rollers for the variator and a full system (Arrow)
Looking for a little more pep.
Not selling the 1400 yet, but it hasn't been ridden for so long and with injuries taking their toll it might have to go.
That would be a very sad day indeed, but not yet.
Hope Y'all like the new bike. It's a 2010 Aprilia Scarabeo 500ie.

For me, keeping riding is more important than what I ride. Don't care if it's a moped.

Good on ya mate, long may you enjoy your new ride.
There's always room in the world for a bit more tolerance and kindness.

With my heart in my mouth there'd be no way I'd ride a scooter on our M1. For a start it's 110kmh zone however tradies towing trailers are exempt apparently.
You're a braver man than me Gungaden 😎
When you decide to sell your beloved GSX please let me know 💰💰💰.

KiwiCol

Burgman 650 keep up with highway speeds now worries, Chris can also vouch for how they can handle the twisties . . .

Rode 650 BMW scooter, amazed me.60 bhp, stop, go & handle.

Dwain Dibley

Bought a third battery tender, all three bikes on these now.

This one in particular is for the CX500, I had been using my old Optimate, over 20 years old, and it was showing 14.3V at full charge. It could be the battery or the old charger, but I am now fully updated on the charging front.

D.D.

Seems to be coming up, so we will see. I don't know the age of the battery so I may just buy a new one anyway ??
