Found out today that I play tennis with a fella thats had five 1400s. He's currently got a Harley but wants another 14. He got busy telling me all about them and how good they were. Then he asked me what I rode. Funny !! :worshippy:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Agreed on clothing sizes, sometimes even the same make can't agree with itself.

Quote from: Mr Gee on Wednesday, 26 November  2025, 09:12 AMJust ordered a new winter jacket, to try on but how on earth, are you supposed to know what size you need.  :whatever:

I have Jackets from Large through to 10XL that all, fit.

Isn't it time, they standardised things. Thought that was why, we all went decimal.  :rofl2:  :happy1:

Arrived today and it fits. I can now add a 5xl, to the collection.  :worshippy:  :clapping:  :onya:

Quote from: KiwiCol on Wednesday, 26 November  2025, 11:30 AMMadness isn't it!  The sizing is all up the shute.  :furious:

My new boots arrived today, size EU 50. too damn small!!     I have EU 48's atm & they're getting too tight to put on, so went bigger but they're about the same as my old EU48's.  Cost me $30 to ship them back!   Now looking at some EU 52's from Germany, but reckon they'll probably be too big & shipping is $60 odd each way.

Might have to just wear flip flops . . . . :happy1:   yeah, or not.

Toes have joints Col...perhaps shortening them is the way to go.
There's always room in the world for a bit more tolerance and kindness.

$450 for a new table tennis table, 2 bats and a bucket of balls. Mrs has a set at work and loves it, always saying she wants a set for home, got her one before her kids turn up for Xmas. For someone who's not competitive or coordinated, she's surprisingly good. I'm not!

$119 for another new 18v leaf leaf blower, skin only.
Already have one but it lives in my shed, gets used to blow the Ute tray out, blows the shed out, gets thrown on the tractor to blow the radiator out when I'm slashing.
Often need one around the house, blowing the outdoor areas out and blowing the garage out, no driveway so the Toyota brings grass cuttings and dirt / dust into the garages.
A bit silly but having a second one is quite handy.

Only 350K's / 218 miles round trip to the shops as there's not much locally.

Obv Ryobi Tony. I find their stuff very good. I have 5.0 amp batt that is 13 yrs soon, 1/2 rattle gun same. Ryobi batts genuine far better than knock offs, i have lots of them.

Mrs bought me the 2025 Kincrome Advent tool calendar.

I don't think there's anything it it I haven't already got, but I'm a sucker for collecting tools and I'm like a little kid opening it up each morning. A few spare tools won't do any harm.

Day 2, the case was day 1.

The last 4 years......

I'm regularly suprised how well they last, I have 3 x 4ah and 3 x 5ah in daily use.  I have a powerful torch that's used every night when I check on the hens, walk the dog etc.  My Bluetooth speaker is on wherever I'm working, leaf blower every day, drill shaped air compressor every time I take a bike out, whipper snipper, drills, vacuum cleaner, impact guns, circular saw, sabre saw etc etc.

I have a torch, drill and impact driver that are dark blue in colour, years before Ryobi went yellow. Still work great.

Ryobi knocked by lots, in my books its because theyve been robbed by Milwaukee tools, some have Harleys from Milwaukee, theyve been double robbed.

A new tool box. Not huge or flash but I wanted a Kincrome one that'd fit under my bench.

I've been a bit of collector and hoarder of tools for 45 or 50 years and aren't short of a few but they are very very random, from a couple of Snap On, to mostly Kamasa, Hilka, Draper, Stanley, Kincrome, Sidchrome, Britool, Halfords, SCA, and probably a dozen other brands, some worn and tired, some AF and Whitworth ones I haven't used in ages.

I'm slowly replacing everything bit by bit with Kincrome in Kincrome box's. Slowly building up a set of tools that I actually like and use, all in good condition. All the same brand.  I have "several" tool box's, but I like the idea of just Kincrome tools in Kincrome box's. A nice set where I don't have to sort though the old and new, cheap, worn or damaged looking for the better ones or favourites.

Slowly buying just the Kincrome tools I will actually use.
1/2", 3/8", 1/4" socket sets, screw drivers, allen keys and bits, various torx drivers, torque wrench, nut sert gun, pop rivet gun, saws, hammers, tapes, markers, jump pack, spirit level, open and ring spanners long and stubby, adjustable spanners, pliers, wire cutters etc etc.

Envy you Tony, I like my tools too, bitsa this and bitsa that as you collect over the years.  I'm not particular to anyone brand, but Kinchrome are nice quality.

My B.I.L once won one of those full Kinchrome chests, 4 or 5k worth i think. All the tools you'd ever need, including the roller boxes etc.  Absolutely wasted on him, apparently he sold it for a song as he was trying to get his IT business off the ground.probably swapped it for a PC fan or something....
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Exact same me, all sorts of tools, never stuck with one brand.Too old to bother now, i usually find something to do the job.Think ive posted before, went to a job, blokes house. He had every Wurth tool, accessories ever made. He used to be a rep for them, robbed them blind with fake warranties etc. They also wasted, just hanging around, never used. Some blokes dont deserve fresh air😡

Tony Nitrous

I offered a large set to my step son. Sockets, spanners, pliers, screwdrivers etc, told him, take 'em for free.
He said he didn't want them, the local car place maintains his car for him, he wasn't interested.

My wife doesn't complain about my collecting, her only moan is what am I supposed to do with all this crap if you die!

She did say she'd give it away to the local "Men's Shed" old blokes meeting place.

I've given her a couple of names who I'd rather have it and the bikes, probably give her a few dollars and be happy.
