I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Tractor Drags here we come....

There's a couple of locals around here with big V8 petrols in theirs. At the local shows they have a bit of fun and put on a bit of a display with some amateur Tractor Pulling.

Great day, Wife told by specialist doesnt have Parkinsons, Essential Tremor they call it, no cure, maybe just tabs can help. Our 4 day super heat over with huge storms, no damage just cooler by far. Bought new phone, SE 3rd Gen, works really good. 39mm rain, we needed it. All round good day.

Good news on the tremor Grog. My dad had that & apart from pissing him off that he couldn't do delicate stuff with his hands anymore it never caused any issues. He'd been a precision engineer so not being able to wire a plug was rather frustrating for him.

Mrs Notty has essential tremors in her right hand - also clear from Parkinson's - learn to cope just spills things now and then
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

On the bike front, my Hornet got all bouncy & was busy trying to throw itself at the hedge last weekend. I'm not sure the old shock liked the speed it's been covering rough roads, often two up, since I got it. Kinda proved that when I stopped in Masham & had this puddle of shock oil on the floor in how long it took to remove my helmet & gloves.

Found a used replacement locally for £110, so I'll be getting that & slinging it on soon. It's meant to be my reliable sensible & cheap bike but it's being demanding at times.

I was quite impressed though, I've never seen a shock blow as well as this. The oil smelt disgusting & felt very watery so no wonder it'd been bouncy for a while. But then I expect it's original from '02.

Second hand shock acquired. Looks nearly new so no complaints at £110 from me.

Just need to find the time & energy to fit it now. Oh & work out how to strap the back of the bike to the garage ceiling while I do it.

Put bike on side stand, place one car axle stand under the RH footpeg bracket while tilting, then place other under LH footpeg bracket, job done, works a treat if you've no centre stand. Easier with two people but can be done on yer tod siding it in with your foot! Andy. :onya:

Nearly every time I've done that the bike has started to fall off, but thanks for the idea. It's probably my fault it hasn't worked.
