I'd keep on it Hooli, these bastards are quick to take your money but very slow at giving it back.  You have plenty of proof your bike is worth twice as much as they are offering.  My last claim for a car they offered less but I just sent them loads of ads from Autotrader of the same car in the same nick in my area, they buckled and paid up.

I'd done that, about a dozen adverts showing what the market value of the bikes are & they've rejected it.

I'll try on twitter too, they love* good publicity like that.

Last night actually, I swore a lot about thieving insurance companies again.

They won't budge from their offer of £1,131 for my 14. That's less than half it's market value when stolen, they are as bad as the scum who took it. Next step is a complaint to the company, the broker & the ombudsman. I don't really expect to get anywhere, but I can cost them more than they are ripping me off for if nothing else.
stick to your guns mate
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Today i got a ride on few years old Kawasaki ZZR1400. Full twin outlet Akra. Amazing ride, fairing spooks me, not used to one. Easy to ride, couldnt fault anything, sure can move, most power ive experienced. Know nothing about them, a naked one id like.

Hooli, who is it insured with, I say insured, tongue in cheek.  :whistling:  I would like to know who to avoid come renewal time.

There was a Brembo / Ohlins Edition that I was quite interested in. They go real well, I like them.  They were a genuine alternative to the Busa and in some ways better, but now they can't meet emissions and no cruise control / modern tech etc.

Ageas via Carole Nash. I can't fault CN though, it's the underwriters who are an arse.

When Ageas originally said I wasn't covered due to no immobiliser, I spoke to CN & they sounded as surprised as me. 30 mins later Ageas rung me back after CN told them to stop being stupid.

Took the 1402 into work today, freeway commute for an hour.  Nice clear spring weather, early start (05:30). Was cruising down the freeway, engine singing sweet, just awesome on a 20yo bike. Agree that we have one of the best all round bikes imo.

Today had a Suzuki blowing me away from lights. He gave everything, i just laid back.Never seen one before, Impulse i think its name. Sure reminded me of a 14. 400 cc i found out.

That is indeed very much like a scaled down version of the 14.     From 2011 onward it says.

Specs I found
The engine produces a maximum peak output power of 52.30 HP (38.2 kW) @ 11000 RPM and a maximum torque of 37.00 Nm (3.8 kgf-m or 27.3 ft.lbs) @ 9500 RPM .
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

400's are very popular in Japan due to their legislation. There's quite a few variations.  The 400 Kat's turn up here too.  The Impulse pre-dates the 14 by several years as they were released in the mid 90's so certainly not a scaled down version off of it.

The Japanese 400 models are quite interesting. To most Suzuki fans if you mention early GSXR's they think 1985 for the 750 and 1986 for the 1100, but the first and original GSXR was a 400 released in 1984.
