People should not be eating anything that comes out of the sea.
You don't eat fish / seafood Mick?

No mate, if I was meant to eat fish I would have been born a whale.
Used to eat the stuff when I was a nipper in Singapore but not any more, cant stand any of it.
Ok Understand now.  Singapore, tropics, hot, if seafood not looked after properly it'll spoil very fast indeed.  As a youngster, you probably were given 'sub-optimal' offerings which is why you now can't stand the stuff.

and BTW, whales don't eat fish, dolphins do though.

I have a couple of mates from a wee fishing village called Bluff, they tell me it's got the best seafood in the world.

KiwiCol

Yup!  Agreed.   Love 'em - when I can afford them.  They sell for over $2.00 each! & ya can easily deal to a couple of dozen on yer own.

What I did today. Discovered gsx650 triple trees bolt straight into gsx1400. They have the same distance centre to centre of the forks as a 1975 goldwing so my leading links will fit with minor modifications. Most happy. Immobiliser ignition even fits.

Hiya Dave
What model and year were the yokes(triple trees) of the gsx650 as that's really handy information .
We'll done who's have thought the classic heritage of the gsx1400 goes back up a 1975 goldwing

only a slightly modified gsx1400
oh and a standard one too

2012, saw them on eBay, had seller measure centre to centre distance. Going to get a set of 41mm fork tubes, trim to length and slide over the top of 37mm goldwing tubes. A few plug welds and top and bottom should be fine. I have even managed to get the original 6 spot calipers to fit on the xj900 front wheel I run. Very simple adapter plates.

seth

That sounds great
If you can add a couple of pictures as I'd be very interested in seeing your handy work .

Today I drove a brand new 2019 Porsche Speedster.
A bit like a soft top version of the GT3-RS.

It was sooooooooo nice.
From the short shift 6 speed manual box, to the brilliant exhaust sound, to the huge discs.  Best thing I've driven in ages.

Only one small problem (apart from 3 times the orders than the amount of cars coming to AU)

I don't have a spare £341,000.

Porkers don't interest me at all, they are so ugly & sound crap.

At that sorta dosh, I can't even afford to look at the pic!

Nice car Tony but would prefer a house for that money. I did get to see/ hear an Audi R8 in full flight yesterday. Fairly impressive.

Tony Nitrous

Sounded brilliant.
It's the GT3-RS 4lt flat 6 so up around 375kW of power at 8400rpm, and 470Nm of torque.
6 speed manual box was the best manual I've ever tried. Very short shifts and so precise. I've driven R8's, GT2 and GT3-RS's etc but this is my favorite.

They were a bit fussy! No belts, rings, jewellery etc . I had some soft cotton gloves. Pretty sure it was already sold.

I told them my HiLux is easier to get in and out of!

They are only 211k GBP here.

Yes, a lot of the top end Euro cars are quite expensive here.
Shipping etc is part of it, it's a quite small market, and there's a quite high "luxury cat tax", 33% over $75,000.

Someone is doing OK in those deals, about 60K tax and about 70K GBP shipping.
