I have a BIG Golden Orb that lives up the side of my house in the carport.
Most weekends I move her so I can get the lawn mower past.
She had young ones a while back but I haven't seen many more recently.

It's the little ones that are more annoying....

I love the wildlife here, it was a big attraction to moving to Qld / AU.

Most spiders are interesting but the Golden Orb is a bit special.
If you break their web it's amazing how strong it is, almost like cotton.

There are several cases of them catching small birds.

Thanks but we've already imported thousands of them over the last few decades, we don't need any more.
