That seems a reasonable price for a full set of SS braided lines.   I could be tempted myself.  Have Barmy bring them over with him in Feb next year.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

It's even cheaper to keep using the original ones that last perfectly fine  :whistling:

Ordered these for £89 - HEL s/s transparent standard front set and a rear - seems good value  :)

I think that's one HEL of a deal Notty  :smile2:

We need to brake the habit of bad puns & stop things.

Oooppps - car came down the slip road and pulled in front of me cutting my braking distance below a cars length i looked in my mirror to pull into outside lane , turned back and and then the guy in front of him did an emergency stop.( Sun low and bright shining in our eyes) . airbags didn't go off - i pulled onto the hard shoulder which was coned off for a murder scene - we swopped details, his wife got out and we were in skool together, hadn't seen her in 40 years !! ahh those bike sheds - anyway there were around 50 police not ten foot away and they did ask if we were ok then carried on looking for bodies.  had to inject mrs notty as she started going into shock as she has Addisons disease ( no adrenal glands and a reluctance to spend money on motorbikes ) cant so rang a taxi for her and I waited for 2 hour for recovery. Awaiting courtesy car now and car needed a wash and valet anyway !
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Glad your both ok the car can be fixed.
Did the other folk admit what happened or any of the plod see anything as you need to be careful they don't try to blame you for it all. :frustrated:
Good luck with it all.
And like I say glad your both ok  :onya:

Glad you & Mrs Notty are ok mate. So, he's cut in front of you then braked hard (for whatever reason) & you've gone into him.  Pisser!

Looks like the VW came off worse, how fast was the impact?

less than 15mph as airbags didn't even go off - they are designed to crumple like that to make it safe for pedestrians - been a while since mrs notty dropped her trousers when in the car !!! Lol  :)

Sorry to hear about your woes Notty. No reason the cops should go after you as it seems to me that this was all caused by the other guy thinking he had the right to enter your lane as he pleased and that you should give way to him - driving without due care and attention springs to mind!
If the sun affected your view ahead there is a defense called automatism - it covers stuff like this and sneezing, for example, as you have to close your eyes when you do it, wafting a wasp away from your face etc. Low sun at this time of year makes it difficult to see, especially if it is bouncing off a wet road surface.

Anyway, hope you're both ok

That's a pisser Notty, some muppet it a bloody lorry hit me in the rear last week, I took shit loads of pictures and as many details as I could.  As I was on my way into town anyway I called into my dealer and had them check out the car, all that had happened was the rear valance had been popped out of line, they popped it back in gave the valance a wipe down with a damp rag and said there was no damage at all, result.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

I have a day off work, I actually have a spare 18 days banked. Both the kids have finished Uni and graduated, both have good jobs, my wife is happy in her new job, mine in the motor trade suits me better than my previous job in earthworks, It's my Wedding anniversary today and my birthday tomorrow. I'm about to set off for a long weekend away with my wonderful wife. After Xmas I will book another trip to Cambodia or Thailand or both. A new bike is looking very likely. The money that I was putting into a private pension 30 years ago is days away from paying out. I'm pretty sure I can retire in 12 months or less.

Life has been quite hard in the past, a few up's and some quite bad downs, but things are starting to come together and I feel more positive.

Congratulations on both your birthday and  anniversary Tony. It is always nice to hear a husband or wife speak highly of their nearest and dearest.
I poke a bit of fun at mine, but she is truly lovely. We have just had the most amazing holiday and to share those experiences with her adds even more to our time away....... and this morning she said" if its nice tomorrow maybe we could get on the bike and go round the Coromandel to look at the flowering Pohutukawa Trees."
Bless her.  :smitten:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Congrats on both Tony & sounds like your plan is all coming together  :onya: great stuff.

Col, sounds like you have a good one too, which is great to hear.
:onya:

Mine's a top one as well, just not that keen on bike's, but that's fine with me.
My last day of work today for 3 weeks, so planning to leave monday morning on a 2000 km solo ride for 4 days in the New England high country  :boogie: (more on that later in a new thread)
