Second is Parthenon in Athens in two weeks time  :boogie:

It's much narrower and twisty than it looks on TV isn't it?

Hell yes we did 100mph where racers do 200mph it narrows up A LOT Bobbie said she was "shitting bricks" 🙀💩💩 lol 😆

Yeah I rode it years ago & only after doing that does the racing on TV look impressive. There's good cake in the Creg-Ny-Baa & I go 'last years' race T-shirt cheap too.

Tomorrow, my biggest change for 32 years. 4 day week, 35 hours, been 45 hours for nearly half my life. Play by ear, see what happens.

Tally

Went out for breakfast this morning, ended up at Dom's bike stop near Leominster. Lovely little place , nice breakfast too and at a tenner cheap as well . Route was the A44 all the way from Oxford to destination. One of the highlights was fish hill just outside Evesham, dual carriageway bendy  all the way up. On the way back I stopped off for a latte at a biker cafe called Koti Autotallia in Chipping Camden, then home all in all a 200 mile round trip. Sorry no pics.

I wish we worked those hours up here, been in heavy plant hire management most of my life and working 70+ hours every week seems to be the norm, could be as many as 80 hours each week - on a salary meant I earnt less than the minimum wage, although the salary was pretty good. I have just taken a sales job in the same industry and have cut my hours to 50 each week maximum, I already sort of feel more normal and happier in the head  :boogie2:

Good luck with the four day week, thats my target in the next few years

Just gave mine a wipe over, started her up. Visor cleaned, ready for 6.30, 7 degree ride. Cold for us.

Most of it was pretty lazy, my old bones don't like the cold mornings. I did find a few places where it got to stretch it's legs in 6th, very smooth and quiet it doesn't "feel" as fast as the loud, more basic Gen-2 when the numbers climb past the $2.00 point.

Last ride was a bit colder than 7 just finished a 15 day Kathmandu to Everest Base camp return via Lhasa was a hoot riding Royal Enfields through some interesting terrain was -9C at base camp without the wind chill very brisk riding but 10 of us riding through Tibet could always find something to laugh about rode over the 5 highest trafficable passes in the world and the scenery was something else

That's something I'd love to do. Not sure how I'd cope with the altitude though, being asthmatic.

Horse

One guy was asthmatic, we all took Diamox tablets (altitude sickness)everyday and he thought he might need oxygen to sleep at base camp but did not so whilst it may make it harder it was possible for him , I'm 63 and it was no picnic ,the amount of time spent on the footpegs the focus on other drivers staying off the wrong side of the road was fairly taxing so if your after a nice relaxing ride this would not be that. But definitely something never to be forgotten for lots of different reasons.

Horse, brave and exciting trip. All kudos from me. Too cold for me to do.

Changed the screen on the Gen-3.

There's a 1" lift kit for the bars that I did look at, but for the moment the stock bars aren't too bad. With my health and age I do keep an eye on the comfort mods but haven't needed to go that way just yet.
